HP recalls 6 million AC power cords
 

I was watching the news when I heard about a recall for HP power cords. I happened to check the wife's laptop, and sure enough, she had this type.

If you bought an HP laptop within the last few years, chances are you have this power cord.

There is a link to receive a free replacement from HP.

Just thought I'd share in case anyone else uses HP :thumb:

Yikes, we have 6 of these.

Luckily I have the receipts for them.

We have also just had a total recall on domestic electrical cables.

Massive fire risks have been reported.

All because of cheap imports.

This says it applies to Compaq, which is their bottom of the barrel computers. So, not all HP in general. Just the super cheap ones pumped out of factories for pennies.
