Sprint to shutter WiMAX network around Nov. 6, 2015

This won't affect many I suppose, but it is important for anyone running MiFi boxes, dongles and modems relying on Clear/WiMAX. 3G will still work on modems that support 3G (not all do) and new devices will eventually comes with Sprint's 4G LTE.

So, I suspect to start seeing new MiFi's, etc. that will support this transition in the next 6 months or so. I know some already exist on Sprint, but not all these prepaid services piggybacking the networks.

What does this mean for new IP pools? I'm sure 3G will still reign supreme, but we'll see.

There are still many questions about this, so I will wait to find out more about this before making any decision.
