suing cold-caller
 

I am on TPS (a database you join to stop coldcallers) on landline but
get just 1 that has phoned for years, only once every couple of months, I tell them each time to take me off their list and they say they will, they are polite....I am not so polite.

double-glazing. They have my name, so is it a coldcall? if I have asked them to stop, suppose it is unwanted but not sure if cold. I think they bought my details when I had windows done years ago, it is not the same company do not think.

anyone given them an ultimatum and charged them for my time and hassle?- I saw one guy on TV did that, he wrote to them and said would charge them for each call they make to him, and he won in small claims court.

would need to record the call? not sure how on landline.
plus getting their address might be tricky, might have to engage them in a conversation and make out I am interested in their product.

what irritates me is that they do not take no for an answer. you can be as polite as you like, but that is immensely rude!!

Do they always ring from the same number?

If so it maybe easier to jut put a block on their number.

think you can block with BT but have to pay for the service....which I am not going to do.

yes TPS, telephone preference service.

You can register with TPS but some call anyway though, eg. on my mobile I get a few 'have you had an accident 'and PPI calls, they do not have my name though, I think they call seqential numbers....

these people are passive-aggressive though, they are polite and say they will remove you, and then they still call again with same script. I stop them mid-flow and give them my yell-word for the day, which is usually made-up....
