Just got a message from second guy today who had a similar experience and found Modee a scammer, but is affraid to speak up, due to confidentiality.

IF YOU ARE SUCH A GOOD LAWYER WHY DO YOU EVEN NEED THIS? DON'T YOU GUYS MAKE MILLIONS? OR MAYBE, YOU ARE NOT A LAWYER, YOU JUST INTIMIDATE US, NOT TO SUE YOU?

It's enough we have trouble with ebay, we don't need to be ripped of and given a false hope.

Yes he is a lawyer by the way. If he was such a terrible person he wouldn't be on this forum helping all of us out. I'm sure if you weren't such a prick he would probably refund your money.

People are affraid of being sued, that's why nobody posts in this thread.
And no, I'm not a prick, his own words were that he had a simple solution for me. My brother's account was limited due to SSN requirement. If that's not resolvable why did he took the money and doesn't want to refund.

People, don't spend money here! SSN requirement cannot be avoided NOR DELAYED, PayPal will openly tell you that they don't believe who you are and that they want to check your credit report and that you must provide SSN one way or another, and yes they have the right to check your credit. There is no magic words you can tell the person over the phone to avoid this! Instructions from Modee are the most generic one, you can copy and paste from numerous posts on this forum.
The instructions I've got after I called PayPal suggested criminal activity I would never do (3-5 if you know what I mean). This pi??es me off, and sorry if I'm being rude by lawyer should never suggest something like this. And after I requested refund, he said well you didn't try that last thing, so we didn't finish yet.

Yeah, there is a solution I was told but it does cost a little more than $60.

Look darkorns, Modee must have disclaimed to you before hand that the SSN number delay is not guaranteed as it may work or not. Now if you really wanted to avoid the SSN requirement you should have paid him for his more definite solution. Now I don't know why your complaining about him taking your money as he has done no such things with anyone. Now if you would have just ask him courteously to refund your money he would have done so, but you were rude about it. If you apologize and ask nicely for the money back he will give it back. He is not a thief. He is a legitimate business man who is kind enough to help us all with our specific eBay and Paypal problems. I suggest you stop making nonsense posts and kindly, courteously talk to the man directly about your problem.

Modee, people who have anger problems only lead themselves to more problems and despair. There is always a calm and meaningful solution to problems rather than getting angry about it. As you've said and I agree it's just best to pray for this character, darkorns.

I've stopped using ebay as a major source of income after they banned digital item sales and killed one of my accounts. Thanks to them I'm making 4 times more money with my own site.

As for crappy customers, you will get some, usually in my experience 1 out of 50 are like this guy. I especially love the ones who have problems and never email you and do a straight charge back on paypal. You just gotta forget it and get on with your business. Write it off as a business expense.

Be patient. Do more research and more communication. Surely will help.

I just today saw this thread. One thing that I completely agree - always be polite. I hate the buyers who are rude and insulting. 100% of the time I will provide refunds and pay return shipping if the person shows a little courtesy and respect.....

UPDATE on situation with Modee:

Modee is right now threatening to sue me if I don't remove my posts and feedbacks from this forum regarding technical support he failed to provide.

You see this is what I don't understand with this guy:
1. a freedom of speech should be guaranteed on this or any other public forum; a lawyer should know this
2. he is willing to jeopardize his career and this forum. He will reveal his first and last name and then in front of the judge when I present our email communication, judge will find out what Mr. Modee is occupied with, when he is not practicing law and whatever is happening on this forum

A message to Modee: I have nothing to hide, see you in court!

The way I see it, Modee treats everyone with respect and does not do any harm. Good luck darkorns, you will need it. Hopefully you shape up a bit and get over it.

The way I see it is that this is between darkhorns and Modee. The dispute has been brought to the attention of the forum. Any more comments are mere conjecture and serve no purpose other than unrest. Only two parties here know the facts. None of us are judge
or jury.By very nature of the parties involved, opinions will be biased. Nothing will be gained.
darkhorns has no amicus curiae in his camp. Makes this unreasonable.
