How to take a screenshot on a Samsung Galaxy 3/7 Tablet
 

Hi all,

This is not a difficult one I know!!, but can I do it, can I heck!, I have followed couple of youtube tutorials on how to 'simply' press the power on/off button at the same time as pressing the volume down button on the right hand side of my Samsung Galaxy Tablet 7 inch screen, so have come here is desperation really, for someone, anyone, to give me those few magical words that are going to tell me why when I hold down said power on/off button at same time as my down volume button, no matter how many times I try this, the volume just goes down!, which is just 100% frustrating, please please help...., is it simply that I am not getting the timing right on pressing said buttons together, or is there more to it, like that this method simply does not work on the Tablet I have?

Before someone says I have added this in the wrong place, I am leaping in to say I did try to add it the 'other', postings but it came here anywhere.

ilcarletto you are quite simply a genius!, an app!, that sounds ideal I can't tell you how long I have been fiddling with this damn Tablet trying to do this. I knew there would be someone on here who would come up with a great solution and I think you might just have done that, I will give it a go!

Thanks, I have learned that most problems I am facing have been solved in the past by someone else... google is always my friend and I am as lazy as this cat ;)

Hehe yes, who isn't really, especially when it comes to sorting out issues like this, which I already seem to have already spent an inordinate amount of time on. That's the thing with computers though, without enough basic knowledge they can be really annoyingly difficult things to negotiate around and even google and YouTube tutorials assume a certain level of computer awareness. That's why I ended up on here in desperation, 'cos the ways of doing it they are saying work, haven't done on my device. They would no doubt work on the iPad i am currently posting this message on, but that has already been used on a previous banned account, but more than that, other members of the family use this iPad as well and could so easily put paid to any new accounts I created on it, even if I used a dongle, which I suppose could be a possibility....

Is it not like the iPad? Lock button and home button pressed tpgether for a screenshot?

That was a suggestion in some of the YouTube tutorials as well I'm going to give that a go as well, have had no success otherwise yet.

The way you describe in your first post is how you take a screenshot with a Apple type phone..

You got it Callidus, the power button and the home button pressed together got that screenshot! Persistence paid off in the end, as it always does.

Hehe after all that the Galaxy tablet isn't ideal for stealth accounts and I would be wiser to use the iPad with the Huawei mobile wifi that I recently purchased, as I have used the iPad on previous banned account and other family member uses it as well, not for eBay though.
