I have just been asked to verify my Bet365 account with Netverify, really sleek to use, automatically checks to see if the docs are genuine and takes a picture of you to check the 'facematch;' to the ID.
I know Paypal are using different ID methods now but I would think this type of ID check will come in with a lot of places over the next few years.

Not at all complicated to get up and running, you just get directed to the website to verify yourself - I know I have used it as a third party.
Don't ever under estimate ebay or paypal, they're not as daft as you would like to think! I am sure this will be implemented in the future, they know there is a flaw in their system, this would stop that.
I don't see it happening any time soon. I think it would turn off a lot of legitimate users. If it DOES happen, eBay and PayPal are likely to test it first, giving us plenty of warning.
You were signing up at a casino. I can also see banks using this, government websites, etc. But I think PayPal will be one of the LAST companies to adopt something like this.
Dont see this being implemented for many years to come if ever.
Not only will it turn off legitimate users but it will prevent a lot of others who are not tech savvy from using ebay.
Not to mention that there are plenty of regulations in most countries that would prevent this from being used at all.
