Amazon Files First Lawsuit To Block Companies From Selling Fraudulent Positive Review

Just heard this on NPR. Some sellers are paying 19$ per review. They sometimes ship empty boxes to the buyer who then leaves a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ review.

Very interesting, thanks for posting! I had a feeling they would eventually, as product reviews and even customer reviews on amazon are the determining factor in so many things.

The legal analysts said if the review sellers showed up Amazon would probably lose the case. But the review sellers are unlikely to show up because what they are doing likely is against some FTC law just not in violation of Amazons trademark when is what Amazon is arguing.

# of reviews is usually what I check for first when sorting through Amazon results so if you are a seller and you pay $1900 for 100 five star reviews I bet it definitely helps your sales if you are selling a quality product those 100 reviews could be enough to get the snowball rolling.

I could not see buying reviews for $19 apiece. I would love to SELL reviews for $19 apiece, but that is another matter.

I have to admit, though, that I DO check reviews when deciding on whether or not to buy a product. But usually I am looking at computers, printers, etc. - the big name brands - and NONE OF THEM would ever do this type of thing, because it would ruin them if word got out.

I could see someone starting out small, paying for their first couple dozen reviews and then wishing like hell two years later they hadn't.

Can someone elaborate on this a bit more please

Amazon UK reviews can they be bought? Checked 5er all the gigs seem to be for books or the guys are on the other side of the world to the UK.

How does the multiple account thing work, does it not raise any suspicion?

Just wondering where the best place to get paid product review was?

Is there a working system/system or website people use to buy these specifically for the UK?

Is having lots of stealth accounts to do the buying and reviews for you the way forward?

There must be strategy to get reviews quite fast and safely...any ideas?
