Confederate Flag Merchandise Now BANNED on eBay, Amazon and Etsy
Just an FYI...
If any part of your business relies on selling merchandise that contains the confederate flag, you may have a difficult time selling it online very soon. Amazon, eBay and Etsy have all announced they will no longer allow that merchandise to be sold. Amazon, Etsy to Ban Confederate Flag Merchandise, Joining Walmart, eBay - ABC News
I did not post this for political reasons, it is just a heads up to anyone who sells this merchandise. Please do not post political rants about this one way or the other. |

That's pretty ridiculous imo. I don't really want to get into the debate whether or not its a racial symbol, but if people picked up a book and truly knew what it meant, it wouldn't be a big deal.
Also, sucks because one of my top 10 items has a Confederate Flag background. :P |

I learned long ago, that as a seller, you CANNOT afford to fall in love with your merchandise. You never know when it could be banned. Even if it is not controversial, it could run into problems. Let's say you have 100 legitimate copies of a DVD. Then the actor in the DVD's kills someone while driving drunk. You are now the proud owner of 100 pieces of landfill fodder.
As sellers, we have to be able to quickly rid ourselves of products that cannot sell and replace them with products that WILL sell. I used to sell DVD's. I LOVE movies. But it just was not worth all of the headaches and the declining profit margins.
So, my attitude these days is that I am all about sales. While I CARE about what I sell in terms of the QUALITY of the products, I never allow myself to care about the products themselves. If a product needs to be ditched, out it goes! |

Eh i can careless. I'm white and i can careless about it maybe b/c i wasn't born in this country but i don't find it a big deal. If i was black i could careless as well. Its just a flag.. piece of cotton in my eyes. |

wow, i really dont want to live in this country anymore. no wonder i refuse to become a US citizen, and i am the last one in my family that hasn't become one. |

ridiculous, and what about the vintage market where it exists aplenty...it is hardly a nazi swastika....
what about rockabilly stuff, uses it alot as symbolism...
I always thought it was a nice looking flag too.... |
