Got banned from Craigslist????? WTF
 

My IP just got banned from CL :( WT............F

I recently search on CL for iPhone 5 for my daughter. There are bunch of scammers there at put an ads like "Mint condition iPhone 5S Unlocked for $130" and leave the gmail/yahoo in this format "buymycellphone at gmail dot com" or some sh!t like that.

I flagged a ton of listed like that and now they banned me. Of course IP isn't a problem for us who run stealth but WTF wrong with CL?????

Maybe the saw you as a troublemaker that was going to start mass-flagging posts. In my experience with Craigslist, they usually will take action only on SERIOUS things, like is you find ads for illegal drugs, or counterfeits, or things like that.

I would be VERY cautious in buying a cell phone from Craigslist. Many times the phones are stolen and cannot be activated. If you just met someone in a parking lot for the exchange, good luck with ever finding that person. At least on eBay or Amazon you have a level of protection against that.

Unless you went on a crazy flagging spree where you started a mass quantity flagging somebody over and over again I have no idea but craigslist policies & rules and flagging system is so screwed up!

You had to flag a ton of listings for this to happen. Pointless and accomplishes nothing anyways. Lesson learned.

Just like unkown5454 said above, it's pretty pointless to flag people and even if you get there listing removed, they're just going to put it back up over and over again! So it's pretty much a waste of time unless you got a lot of free time on your hands and you are bored?

I know it can be frustrating to see people put up Dumb pointless scams over and over again that you can see it from a mile away, but you flagging them down every day or every other day is not going to get them to stop!

Just yesterday my CL was suspended & I spent all day looking for a phone number that would work. The app Text Free works great & works for phone verification. I hope you or anyone else suspended will find that helpful!

It's either spamming, flagging or listing ill.egal items all from the same IP. CL is very simple.

I've had accounts receive dozens of flagged listings from competitors and either the accounts just keeps letting me relist a few items or they just eventually start ghosting. Not once has any of those accounts been banned. So that should give you some idea of what these peckers are doing. We can stop playing the innocence game.
