jailbreaking iphone/itouch

ok. guys this is so off topic but i got my son an ipod touch for xmas. I downloaded 350 apps. Now I have to jailbreak the ipod touch. does anyone know how to do this and do you think it is worth it to do so?

I am going to be a busy girl today after reading this.
* tweak the router
* Hack my wii
* jailbreak the iphone and itouch

I might even try the one about turing the ipod touch into a phone? That will save me an $$$ for christmas because my son needs a new phone. I still have him on pay as you go plans because I was worried about putting him on a plan at his age. But I feel like I am buying those $25 cards every other day.
