Accidental phone reset

If a cellphone is accidentally reset to factory settings with no backups...is restoring all the numbers at all possible? OR is that a pipe dream?

Just wondering

Well it all depends what type of phone are we talking about?

Lg Optimus - 2011 PPsomething or other old model

Try looking in the settings. Older phones save contacts to the Sim card. You might be able to pull the contacts off the Sim card if that is the case.

Looking at the SIM is the first thing to do

You can also sometimes recover data using special software even if the phone has been reset.

It's happened to me before on my old LG G2 on Verizon network. I had to take it into the shop and they were able to recover my contacts. But since then, I only use my google contact list. Never have to worry about losing contacts unless I lost my gmail. :P

Any recommendations James?

@doL, when you say shop - I am guessing not the provider shop....special phone shop?

Did you try the connected gmail?

Re: Accidental phone reset

Yes but only e-mails are appearing for contacts not numbers. Am I doing something wrong?

Re: Accidental phone reset

Yes you have to go into settings. Shows everything including contacts not sure about backups I believe so. Click on account right corner where gmail name is.

I cant even google a way to find the numbers out - I am mystified how to locate if phone numbers were attached to the gmail on the phone
