Microsoft Excel Formula

Anyone really good with Excel Formulas?

I am making my own inventory spreadsheet but need a formula to do that following

I have 4 Categories

In Stock / Used / remaining / Sold

I already have it that used will subtract from In stock which the answer will be put in remaining. What i need is a formula that when i add 1 to the sold section it will subtract 1 from the used and In stock section, Anyone?

Try this one, it is pretty simple:
Place this formula in the In Stock cell.

Make the 100 into the total number you start with.
Make the L13 the cell number of your Sold cell.

=100-L13

That would work with the In Stock section but i need it to subtract from Used as well

With the formula above that you gave me i would have to change the formula everytime i added something to stock

Then paste the SAME formula into the USED cell.

You are correct.
You MUST have a base point to start from.
If you do tell it where you are starting from Excel will have no idea where you want to go.

It is like handing someone a map with specific direction and telling them to drive somewhere.
Then you blindfold them.

ahh, alright i guess what i want done can not be done

Anything can be done as long as you give the formula the correct information to start with.
If you start with 100 wigets.
You sell 25
You have the formula =100-L13
Then you buy another 50 of the same wigets.
You change the formula to =150-L13 in the Stock cell

Alright thanks for your Help and taking ur time, I will tell you my set up right now, I am not very good at explaining things so i will put in as much details and examples as i can.

I sell 1 item but there are a bunch of accessories that go with it, I use this sheet to control the accessories so i know what i have available when i go to list another item. The "Used" column are accessories that i am using in current auctions, i dont take them off the In Stock section until they are sold.

Now my set up right now goes like this

I have 4 columns that hold information and they go in this order

In Stock / Used / Remaining / Sold

The formula i am using right now is in the remaining cell. Its subtracts "In Stock" from "used" and the final number shows up in remaining. So "remaining" is using the following formula for example =B2-C2.

What i want to do is when i add a number to "sold" i want the numbers in In Stock and Used to go down

Ex. I start with having 3 In stock, 2 used, with 1 remaining and 0 sold.

When i add 1 to the sold column i want it to read 2 In stock, 1 Used and 1 Remaining

if i add more stock i still want it to calculate what is remaining. for example if i am showing 2 Stock, 1 Used 1 remaining and 1 sold then i add 10 to In Stock it should read 12 Stock, 1 Used, 11 Remaing, 1 Sold. And then If i add to Used it should read 12 Stock 3 Used 9 Remaining.

So basically what i want is when i make a sale that is paid for i want to be able to just enter the number of sold and it will subtract that number from the first 2 columns but the remaining cell will still subtract the difference on In stock and Used.

I hope i explained this right and dont confuse you, Let me know if this makes sense and if this is possible?

So, I often work with office files, but with Excel documents I work more frequent. And consequently I had a lot of types of problems with such files. Once I had an very complicated issue. To be more precise some my xls files were lost. To my good fortune I got a solution - unable to read file xls. It resolved my issue for seconds and completely free of charge as I kept in mind. What is more I knew how the software solved problem with corrupted files in Microsoft Excel format and repaired Excel-unable to read file.
