Thoughts on Popmoney?
 

Popmoney is a P2P transfer service that you can use between bank accounts. So lets say I have a stealth ebay with a VBA for example... and I wanted to transfer it to my real bank account. Could I just transfer my Paypal funds to my VBA, and then use Popmoney to tranfser to my real bank account?

Just curious about this topic and wondering if anyone else does this.

VBA's are not real bank accounts, you can't withdraw to a VBA.

I have a suntrust account with a routing and account number that is linked to my Paypal. You're saying if I withdrew to it, I wouldn't get the money?

But that's not a VIRTUAL bank account right? It's a real account you can access....which is different than VBA

And where did you get this Suntrust Account? Did you open it at Suntrust?

I purchased it from another member in the Sellers section for $10...

OK, Just so you are aware.....VBA's purchased on this forum or any other place......are not real Bank Accounts. They only do 1 thing and 1 thing only, they Verify your Paypal, that's it!

You can't access the VBA and if you try to withdraw to it...2 things may happen:
1. Your money will be lost in limbo
2. The funds will bounce back to your PayPal and PayPal may decide to investigate why.

So hopefully you are clear on this issue.

You're better off opening a bank account on your own and attaching it to your Paypal account.. you have less points of failure on receiving funds, etc.

Popmoney does look interesting though.. it reminds me of Dwolla.

You MUST have a Social Security number in order to open ANY bank account,,,ANYWHERE in the U.S.

I'm pretty sure that you did NOT give thar Seller friend of yours your Social Security number,,,

If you did,,,,,,you have an even BIGGER problem than getting your money out of PayPal,,,

A problem that CANNOT be fixed on ANY forum,,,,,

Seller friend? I'm pretty sure he bought it right here. Anybody can. Take a look vba vcc for sale approved members only.
