VPN Watcher and Win XP with VM not working

Alright, I use VPN watcher on Win 7 with VM on my Mac, no problem.
But with XP it does not work. I can't add any VPN to VPN Watcher.

Does anybody have the same issue and is there a workaround?
Or is there any other software that you could recommend to close the browser if VPN connection drops?

thanks, but this one is a bit confusing. VPNWatcher is much more straight forward
