Default Looking for budget friendly cameras/camcorders. Any suggestions?

Hi, I need recommendations on budget cameras, and HD camcorders you all would recommend. I'm searching for something that can capture every single detail of whatever it may be that I'm taking pictures of. If anyone is knowledgeable in this field please give me suggestions. Thanks

Hmm.. when I think of quality cameras I don't think budget friendly.

If you have a smartphone, your best bet is to just us it for your recordings as the quality is on par with point and shoots and getting better every year.

I use my smartphone which is a sony xperia Z2, this has a 20.7MP camera and is amazing for taking pictures of whatever I'm selling. No point spending £300+ on a camera when you can just use your phone.

Thanks, I ended up doing more research, and came across the Nokia 808 with a 41mp camera for around $120. Another top rated camera phone was the Samsung kzoom that you can get for around $280 with a 20.7mp camera.

Nokia has 41 mpix and costs $120, Samsung has 20 mpix and costs $280. Canon 5D MK3 with decent lenses costs $4000 and has 22 mpix. So "every single detail" is a very relative thing. If you need uber-sharp, correctly colored pics, fast-focusing, supporting low-light and "bright" optics, cheap cameras won't do any good, better to use a phone camera instead of wasting money on some poor plastic garbage. And if you really need a decent camera - it will cost a lot, unfortunately. If your budget is 300 usd, I'd recommend a starter level DSLR camera, maybe, slightly used. It will make better pics, than any phones / portable cameras out there. The only disadvantage will be the size and weight.

This.

if you REALLY need to get a something extra then just go for one of the new Canon rebel ones- Great photo quality and video quality as good as your average camcorder.

Found a Canon starter kit at Best Buy during the holiday season that I plan on picking up soon. It was around $399, and came with all of the accessories needed for beginners. Once I become more knowledgeable I can upgrade from there If I decide to keep this as one of my hobbies.
