| newdenim | 01-11-2009 03:35 PM | chinese sellers i am not racial or anything but how in the hell can you compete with the sellers from china? It seems as if they are under cutting everyones prices!
any suggestions? |
| Exeneva | 01-11-2009 04:15 PM | Counterfeit?
Or maybe not. They get stuff for cheap there. I think DHGate has some cheap suppliers. |
| silentnyt | 04-09-2009 09:02 AM | I checked out DHGate but their prices seem high. Tradekey, Alibaba, etc are mostly rip off scams. I am looking for a legit, honest seller in China who sells electronics (video game systems, phones, etc). He must have references I can check.
I will trade info. I have a 100% honest seller in China that I have done business with for over a year but he does not deal in electronics. He deals only in handbags, clothing and jewelry. |

any suggestions? | You don't....Takes a lot of research to find who' and 'what' you need. |
| oompaloompa | 04-09-2009 01:41 PM | You cant compete, I say good luck to them actually, theyve had it hard for a long time and now they are on the up and overtaking the west.
on alibaba I got a good supplier for tanning and salon equipment, but boy it took 2 days of filtering the crap timewasters, I mean, its all about how much right? you want to see the prices right there before you make an enquiry, but they never list them, so you make enquiry ask how much per unit, standard reply 'my name is blah, I want to do business with you, I am this this and this' no answer to question re costs, ask again same thing, give up. Hate that about those sites.
Speaking English and another language is a bonus, you can get stuff from China and thensell on another country ebay direct, where the competition is way less, loads of room for manoevre on European sites, they wont buy direct from China in general on ebay, if they think you are their compariot they trust you and buy from you!.
I found a seller on ioffer, for silk goods, bought once on ioffer, then sold to me at an even better rate away from ioffer, it was risky as they were large orders but she was trustworthy and relationship still going strong, I order monthly and now Ive moved on to other products in her range, can also ask her to source stuff for me, her cut is well-deserved, we both benefit. If you have a good experience via a non-ebay site, make a suggestion to them to do a deal. |
| Burst | 04-10-2009 07:21 AM | You know, Chinese people are generally good trustworthy people. As long as you know the products are duplicates usually. After very little trial and error with chinese sellers, a person usually ends up with an excellent supplier.
Someone who finds that will stay with them for as long as they can ;) |
| oompaloompa | 04-10-2009 08:23 AM | totally agree have had great experience so far with them. |
| NO ID | 04-12-2009 06:06 AM | The Chinese are the lucky ones - They may one day take over all categories in ebay - many of them still don't realize their potential.
Its time to sell as if you were from china - this way you can dropship:peace: |
| Vicvelcro | 04-20-2009 10:48 PM | I have to agree. I found a couple of good ones that treat me well, so I treat them well. Had to sift through quite a few, in the early days. Back then, most of them wanted to push cheap bogus goods at me. Patience and a polite 'no thank you' eventually got me a few 'keepers'. Seems there was a stretch of time, for a bit, where good stuff and good sellers were falling out of the trees. Dunno if that's still true, because I'm not looking anymore. |

| JohnnyBoy | 06-07-2009 12:26 AM | Is it me or has the number of accounts selling from Asia has gone way down. When I used to search eBay looking for products to sell, I used to always see alot of featured items selling from china, south korea, malaysia, vietnam, etc, for a couple dollars less than competition. Now I don't see that many. Has anyone else noticed this? |
| NO ID | 06-07-2009 01:17 AM | You are right - the sellers are gone. They are normally gone during their holidays/festivals and they just had one last week. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 06:41 PM. | |
