Fuel Issue_BMW M3 VS TOYOTA PRIUS an eductaional video

Lol, wow..

It justifies me getting a 335i one day. :)

I figured some people here who enjoy a show like this.

I used to own an M3 before I moved into the city.

I got my license suspended for too many speeding tickets

I do...while I am packing stuff to ship and before I go to bed! :)

Well the morale of the story is not what you drive but how you drive.

If someone drives a BMW M3 correctly they can get better gas miles then someone who drives a Toyota Prius with a lead foot.

OR...

This YouTube video is a bunch of nonsense and the findings of this test are purely fictional?

I'm inclined to believe the "OR".

philly387 01-13-2009 02:49 PM

I think the test is accurate. I don't think they ever said how fast they were driving but if you think about it, if you have a prius floored all the time it i going to use the most amount of gas possible. I know for a fact the M3 was not floored at all and probably was not using a bunch of gas because it did not need to in order to keep up with the Prius. By the way, I hate the Prius.

This was aired on the BBC channel on a show called Top Gear

They would not air it if it was not true.

philly387 01-13-2009 03:10 PM

BBC has some cool shows...Dragon's Den is my favorite. I think that is what it is called anyways. With the people that want to invest money in others ideas that come on the show. I don't get the channel here at home but my buddy in Florida has it so we watch it when I go there.

philly387 01-13-2009 04:02 PM

Like the video said, its all about how you drive the car.

John14789 01-16-2009 12:32 AM

But modee a M3 is a freakin M3! It's a cool chick car no matter how many mpg it gets. Although I would have to agree with you on this modee. A prius does get more mpg then a M3.

Of course it does. That was the whole point of making the prius. The only problem with the prius is there is a crap load of electronics under the hood! Which I don't think I could deal with because I am a fan of fixing my own cars but...not very good with fixing electronics.

John14789 01-16-2009 12:33 PM

I'd rather fix electronics then a car. I don't get all those parts under the hood.
