Why Dont Companies Take Payment There N Then
 

When placing orders, companies usually say 'that's all done, you'll get it tomorrow' etc

I soon realise, they haven't actually taken my payment just 'completed my order'

this is highly annoying and frustrating as it leads me to go overdrawn -

Why do companies do this? Is it that difficult to process the payment there and then?

Bes thing to do would be to ask the companies themselves.

Funds always takes a few days to leave accounts

dropshipping is very very popular nowadays realistically not alot of people can hold stock anymore due to rents etc so they just order it in via droppshipping and write in2 their terms and conditions that it may take for example 28 days to receive an item and then obvious you have to accept that agreement (no matter how ridiculous it is) b4 you pay for the item...that is the reason

If you are talking about paying with a credit card or debit card, it will take 24-48 hours for it to be hard charged. It is simply the card being pre authorized, then that night the batch to be downloaded to the credit card processor, then they charge the card, etc...

thats not what im talking about -

some companies over the phone, you give your card details and they literally take hard payment there and then BRILLIANT


some companies take the card details over the phone and say 'well get this processed for you and shipped out'

when they say that i think to myself theyve taken payment, when actually theyve just logged it into their system and then 2/3 hours later try to do the hard debit... by this time it will be declined as im buying other stuff, thinking that company had already taken payment


so simple for companies to just debit there and then, life would be much smoother
