Has my computer been hijacked?

When I type in google.com, I get https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl

Noticed what was after the slashmark. The part where it says

?gws_rd=ssl

Also, my internet connection is slow now. But it's not impossible that it could just be comcast servers.

I restored my computer without using the wipe hard drive clean (the one that could take several hours).

I had that funny string past the forward slashmark last night, restored my computer, one step shy of complete wipe out. What do you guys this?

Well I really did have a virus. Last nite, whenever I typed a website, it would redirect me to all other site. Refreshed everything, and i still get that part after the forward slash. Now my comcast internet is slow as hell, tried to watch my Apple TV YouTube, and it was blurry because of the slow connection.

All the Drivers installed correctly? What AV did you have installed?

Try Malwarebytes chameleon. You probably don't have a virus, it sounds like you may have malware. There is a lot of stuff that the anti-virus programs don't catch that is actually WORSE than most viruses. Malwarebytes can usually remove them. But the worst ones will force you to wipe your hard drive. They reinstall themselves after removal, constantly rename themselves to make them difficult to find and are a general pain in the you know what.

I have dreamed about catching one of the little techno-weenies who write this stuff and doing TERRIBLE THINGS to them! Unspeakable things! Things that would make Satan cringe!

If you need to ask yourself this question then there are only TWO possible reasons for it:

a) You have just visited some very weird porn website and you are actually ashamed of the content that you downloaded, not streamed.

b) You have been smoking a bit too much of the medicine and need to remove the foil hat.

The "?gws_rd=ssl" string after the Google URL is your browser telling google that you wish to use SSL/HTTPS to encrypt all traffic between you and Google for that session.

No need to get paranoid over this.

Actually, none of the above. I was trying to flash my xbox360 DVD drive last night. U have to dl some "freeware," and then I noticed when I was going entering some websites, it redirected me to some spam sites like sears.com or something like that. Do you really want to login to your bank with this happening? Hmmm. Especially with so many stealth accts running?

What was worse, now that I restored my computer thru the partition, then it deleted that recovery partition, how inconvenient. I'll create a boot up disk now.
