Gaza and isreal....why?? an article by Avi Shlaim who served in the Israeli army
 

Hi all
Im sure everyone has heard about the conflict between gaza and israel. I found this article that is written by an ex israel army officer. It really clears the picture as to why the problems continue to exist and what the aims are behind this. The article is from the guardian. Please take out sometime to read it as it is very educating and will point out issues that are not mentioned by the media.

The nation of israel has been up to lots of things. There's even conspiracy theories that their country was involved in 9/11.

Modee, you are correct. There are always two sides to every story. Its amazing how many only think one side is correct and one side is wrong. As the saying goes, history is written by the victors.

I simply pray for peace and understanding on all sides...

It is a war for land.

Those people in Gaza and West Bank have nothing to loose, they lost all, they have nothing to loose. They fight, it's in their blood. They are defending their homeland anyway they can.

During WW2 Ukrainian fighters used terrorist tactics against Nazis, they won the war.


Now, you need to know something. Very few Jewish people in Israel are related to biblical Jewish people, and most in Israel are not religious.
