Anyone else get the OPM letter?
 

Dad got a letter today from the office of personnel management along with the other 21 million people who got all of their personal info stolen. He has not yet seen this letter but after googling where the letter came from i opened it and how wonderful of them to offer 3 years of protection of identity theft for their horrendous failure.

Anyway, since i cannot ask my dad right now what info they collect other than all of his info for his job security clearance maybe someone here knows if they also require or somehow pull the information of his family as well meaning all my info would be stolen as well. This time they are not so generous and only offer the 3 year protection only for children under the age of 18 years old.

Sorry to hear about your dad. Tell your dad to monitor his credit score and his transactions closely from now on.

Yeah I got it.
Its 3 years for me too.

They didnt have to ask for any info.
They have it all already. When you login with the info they provide for you, they just ask you to verify that it is actually you.
