seen it? amazing if it works......

funded on kickstarter.....at developer stage for databases....

will be a pocket scanner or on a smartphone....

analysis of food, meds, gems anything...well metals are hard to decifer apparently...

I'm a bit skeptical about what is promised for this product, it just screams like hoax for me to be honest...

Mass spectrometers are typically something found in physics labs, and those things are huge. I doubt they can shrink it down to something finger sized and have the slightest amount of functionality of the real thing.

I really dont see how it would work as a mass spectrometer?

As BiN4RY said these things are HUGE

To go from being 10's and 100's of KG in weight down to that small seems to be a very very sudden advancement.

If it is true that it would be pretty sweet

thats the same conversation I was having at home, I am skeptical too, just because the manufacturer says it works doesn't mean it does to that extent anyway...

when I see big medical claims too, I often wonder if the pharm companies go in and buy it off/shut it down......

Sometimes i wonder who sponsors/donates to some of these kickstarter ideas. I might try to put up something really dumb and see if people donate to me. Seems to work for some others.
