unwanted kids party guest
 

next week there is a party of my friends daughter aged 13 (not mine honestly!)
I will be there on catering duties, it is in a hall with a DJ...

we hear the girls arch enemy is planning to come, she bullied her in primary school, and she was not invited, enemies friend is going, she feels entitled to go to all parties, as she is popular in her own mind, she is actually pretty disliked due to her attitude, she is a mememe type and her parents enable and worship her...

the enemy wants to come in with her friend, dropped off by friends parent who is oblivious, her ploy is that she will not be turned away as this would cause embarassment and friends parent would have to leave with enemy...and make party girl/girls family look mean.

all this was overheard by changing room spies....it is not definate but possiblity....

we have discussed ticket only - maybe but still might not prevent it
we have ruled out pre-emptively telling the enemys friends parent who will drop off, as my friend cannot bring herself to do it

I mean I do not care, I will kick brat to the kerb, but I have been asked to handle if it happens, as I am not as involved with them (although I do see them around) and to be lady-like hmmm.....

Teenagers oompa girls especially when it comes to things like this, a minefield in their, and in this case your, own lifetime!, could well turn out to be that you can't do right for doing wrong.

well from what I have heard about her, she will not get the satisfaction of getting in.......

mmm I know, I was quite a handful as a teenager....my mum said my sister and I aged her, and she tried to lock us up and we would climb out of the windows.......

I sell a few types of spycams. This is the first time I've ever heard anyone openly admit to using one in a changing room though. Hmmmm.


I would call the mean girl's parents and tell them she is not invited and to not bring her.

Tell them to hire security and have the ankle biters enter only by ticket.

Send a note to the offending parties, it is invite only and trespassing is an offence.

no hiring of security.....I am the security ha. This is not an MTV sweet sixteen brat budget
party..........this is a nibbles and someones dad dj-ing operation......yes, I know, I wouldnt have been seen dead there either at that age....

yes tickets will be issued in next few days.

I will be holding a guest list and a sign is being made saying if you are not on the list, youre not coming in.....

no calls or notes are being sent to the parents of brat, as the apple has not fallen far from the tree apparently.....

word on the street (well the playground near the shops) is brat will turn up as they want to make a scene and will do the poor little me routine at not being let in - true sociopath in the making.....dont think she will rule the world though, word is she is already the local bike....

I will let you know what happens next weekend, I can tell you are all riveted...

Might not go down well with other parents, but I'd spike the drinks... See if they can hug it out, if not then you know that next time you either need to up the levels or change of substance.

Heh, had that.

I made it a point that if the enemy bullied anyone at the party that they would be embarrassed. Let their parents know before hand as well. Ive no problem kicking disrespecting parents or adults out.

What you do at yours and other peoples homes/events are none of my business, but you will be civil in something Im hosting/paying for.

I know its not for you oompa, but just saying if I were in charge. Self entitlement doesnt work well with me. heh..

Kids are evil these days and parents who don't call their little ****s bull**** is so weak. Just a generation of bad genes, poor parenting at its finest.

I have a 2 year old and already I'm calling his bull**** and to be fair- The wee lad understands when he does something wrong. You have to start young, manners are one of the most important basics a human can have- Parents or kids.
If you have good manners, you can act well in social situations because you are humble, honest and respectful- Even if you don't want to be, you just do it because you brought up with decent understanding of life.

Hearing some horror stories makes me:
a)Appreciate my own childhood and parenting.
b)Rage, I hate lazy/weak parents.
c)just sad, you know... Sad. Thats the kind of world we live in.

Hmm, I think I would start with Burger Box Mans suggestion and if that failed I would go with bjammins plan! :fight:

Actually since I have an unusual affinity for arachnids I would probably just put a few spiders in her hair and let nature take it course and hope she didn't cause any damage to the door on her way out if it were me. :bounce:

kids are no more evil these days, so dont worry about your toddler!! they are more narcissistic (alot of sss) though due to phone cameras and posting online....

I remember a couple of girls like that growing up a long time ago, and one at work actually too...most little girls are sweet as ever....well apart from the whip nae nae routines......

no she does not bully really now, did it when younger...she is just the type that refuses to lose or maybe she really doesnt get that she is disliked....

most kids I know are same mixture as they ever were.....

so yesterday I was at the door, and brat showed up like clockwork with friend and friends parent. Upon friend handing ticket to me, brat tried to walk through behind quickly, I had to stop her and call parent back who was already leaving. I explained she was not on guest-list and parent seemed to not understand the big deal and she thought said she was invited, I said she would have to take her away, It was really awkward as I had to stay calm and keep repeating the same thing over and over. the parent said I cant take one and not the other, can we speak to party kid parent - I had to deflect and in the end say the brat was specifically not invited, as she was not a friend and shot her a look. The parent took both kids away and seemed really flustered...

it was more icky than I thought it would be and this brat set it all up (I think with her friends collusion)....

today I hear a whole bunch of hurt feelings calls went to party kids parent and guess who is the victim? yes, the brat. Brats parents are livid that their daughter is upset.....also I had to put my arm out and physically block her, apparently that is 'pushing and shoving'...

Well done oompa, a few people nowadays have the guts to do what you have done... and you had the rights to do it.

Much more easy would have been to "let everything go" but that wouldn't be right.

Obviously she is the victim in everyone eye but I am sure she is feeling that something is wrong in this "easy" point of vew and I think she learnet a good "lesson" that her parents are not able lo teach :thumb:
