I was wondering when operating on eBay stealth, what tips do you guys use to stay under the radar while promoting your own websites or ecommerce stores to avoid being detected?
I know it's important to work on your own personal brands/stores in order to expand the business and have more room to move within your marketing activities. I know this from first hand experience, since I got taken down by eBay in 2012 and if I didn't have my online store to connect with my target audience I would of went under.
At the moment I mainly focus on Instagram and Facebook sales these social media platforms is really useful for my product range. However, I want to get back on eBay to get that heavy traffic flow and sell off some old inventory.
I was thinking about going back to the basic, like adding a simple product category flyer and using a (Point Of Action) to engage my target audience. For example, please visit our store and use this promotion code: xxxx to get 10% on your next purchase etc.
If you have any tips or tricks that you guys use please please let me know.
Thank you in advance
Pegasus

Re: Marketing and promoting your online store I just include stuff physically with the package but I don't send ads via eB. Too dangerous for the life of the account. |

Make a stealth ebay account that you can lose without put you in financial trouble.
Make some feedback on it to look more serious.
With this account, contact all your old customers from your suspended account and tell them to join you on facebook, because you opened a shop where they can get the same things but cheaper. Do the same with your actual customers.
Send email to all your costumer on theyr paypal email adress, a nice advertising email, with nice pictures and the price of what they just bought but cheaper, always tell them you are the same seller.
Then, find your competitor and their followers, and do the same thing (explain that you are the same seller etc ... )
Of course like said rsot, include something in the package
You can do about the same if you had old suspendend amazon account
Don't do it if you are sensitive too much, because after that, many people will hate you :d |

Hello, สบายดีไหม?
Judging by the flag you are Thai right? :)
Yeah soon good points there with the emailing list. I find emailing is really useful because you get direct contacts with your target audience or the opportunity to connect with potential buyers. I personally use Chimpmail when ever I have a promotion on or stock new products on my website.
Do you sell on Amazon too? |

| pothos | 01-06-2016 05:49 PM | Re: Marketing and promoting your online store Have you considered affiliate networks like Clickbooth, Maxbounty, Blackfox, Shareasale?
I heard that they require a set up fees but some websites are using them.
Has anyone have experience on affiliate networks? |

He works in Advertising and he said last year everyone in his industry thought that email marketing was dying. However, these days you need your email address to join any social media platforms, get bills, payslips, and a lot of insurance companies in Australia rather send out insurance quotes via email.
So the good old gmail is still the golden key. |

I was thinking this other day to start a thread on this subject matter. It would be great to know what tools are out there to help you in everyday business operations :typing:.
The set up fee would be worth it though, for example I have been looking into keyhole a Social Analytics site that gives data of who is talking about your brand, who are the influencer within your target market and it also shows demographic results. Great research tool to see how your marketing campaign is doing across all social media platforms.
Check it out if you get a chance; Hashtag Tracking for Twitter, Instagram and Facebook - Keyhole |

Media Buy ( Place banners on other websites related to your nich )
2- Use retargeting methods you can learn more about this using ( site scout )
This type of methods are use by amazon etc. |
| dan_ebay | 01-08-2016 08:10 AM | Re: Marketing and promoting your online store I just save their emails. Affiliates won't be interested unless you give 25%+, they can get 5%+ from amazon who converts much better |

luckyorange has a similar feature to see who is tweeting about you in real time but luckyorange doesn't have a keyword search. |

These social analytics sites are really useful, because it gives you a good understanding of your target market and who is the main influencer within your industry. Furthermore, it gives you really good insight into your demographic. For example, I was doing research into Asia markets and found that 48% of people access their social media via computers. Whereas, in Western countries they access their social media through Apps, mobile devices, and tablets etc. It's a great research tool.
If you do find any more useful sites pm me or mention it here.
Thank you  |
