Got the following as a message through the Amazon messaging system lol!

I was wondering the same thing. Who falls for this crap??

The same person(s) tried to get me to make the sale out side Amazon, through paypal. They asked me to send an invoice and that they would pay me on paypal. I decided to have some fun with that and did send the invoice (they only get my email, no biggie) and asked them to send me a picture of themselves holding an ID (matching the details on the account) and also send me scans of the ID and address proof in order to confirm that it is the account holder I'm dealing with.. Didn't hear back from them after that.

The icing on the cake would have been if his name was:

'Prince' Ekwueme Emmanuel Chidi

That would have made it even more legit. :thumb:

these guys are in nigeria most likely using some type of solar panel and a old windows 97 PC sending out 1000's of messages. Waiting for 1 dumb person to fall for this crap.

Glacier922, I just saw that.

So it looks like these 419 scams are making it to Amazon now. I knew them to be an eBay/ Paypal thing before.

These Nigerians are either making stealth accounts or hacking real accounts...

the first time u should learn when selling on amazon or anywhere online for that matter... IF THE ITEM IS NOT IN YOUR UNSHIPPED ITEMS LIST ITS NOT LEGIT...

this thing is hard to read.... english is clearly not this scammers first language... plus I've communicated with amazon from over 6 accounts and never have i received a warmest regards.. its usually the name of the person that helps you or the department.
