Son is expecting a car lol got his license now got a stealth account with almost 3k in it . found a car 2500 I mean the seller dont care who ;s name it goes in anything i am missing on this thought ?? ..

Giving all 2500 bucks in one shot is risky in of itself. Unless the seller is willing to take 2-300 dollar payments every few days, they might not like that though tho.

With an amount of 2.5k OP...seller might be looking to MATCH up name and address so he/she doesn't feel like the account is hijacked...

Yea thats true ... i been shopping the email delivery gift cards lol so airline tickets says can use 7 100.oo gift Cards on same ticket . never bought a pp digital gift card does it come in a name ? says only email delivery so this would be great if it works like i am thinkin

I want to ask the car you are talking about is a real car or a toy car ?
2500$ to buy a car ? Do they sell internationally ?

I dont need to be compounding any woes right now already grey headed .. i just need 30 banks... My problem is right smack dabb in the middle of buying a house credit score is right on where it has to be and i know everytime you open a bank account it effects your fico score for a bit .. so that leaves me many accounts with no bank attached ... Really i have 83 accounts and about half with no bank been going slow spreading it out but as i surf through the balances i realize many are pushing 1000 and the ones with a bank been sitting not making much ..

Soft check supposed to not affect your credit score I hear. Soft check is usually done when opening a bank account. Hard check Is when u need financial products that u receive real money, that's when it knocks u down I think. Example, a credit card, where u basically receive real buying power. Opening a bank account, you don't actually receive money, u give money by deposit, so it's not as dangerous to the financial institution and that's why they only do soft checks.

not all banks run a hard pull when opening an account. don't know who told you that.

and if they do, they legally have to inform you they are doing so. in which case, you can simply deny them and not open an account.

I will have to ask them about how they pull your credit i was thinking that on your credit it kept a inquiry even on banks opened maybe i am wrong . yea i know soft hits are just a look and dont effect it so hoping that's all ...

When did you do your last FREE credit score?

Maybe look at obtaining a current report and looking at options there.

Not being a party pooper, maybe Son may need to wait for his wheels?

Buying a car with PP could be a bit problematic, there is no seller protection.

If 10 banks pulled an inquiry the same day or over a few days less than 3 points total. After 30 days it will have no effect at all.

I doubt you will find a seller that will take a payment that large in paypal. Mostly because of the fees. If they are a good seller, they will require a $500 paypal payment for a deposit and bank check upon pickup.

I have made other arrangements to buy autos/recreational vehicles with paypal, but every time a gift payment in person was required.

I have not bought a pp digital gift card...if it says e-mail delivery, I wonder if there would be some sync'ing up with original pp account somehow...like when you click the "digital card" to use it...

PP digital gift is hard. You can try buying some on the website and some on ebay. Test it out first account has to be vcc vba and 60 days old.

Like everyone has said you don't want to be using all those funds in one go like that. Speaking from experience as well, don't spend that much on a car for you son, years ago our son passed his test first time out. We bought him a car, it turned into a nightmare!, not the car itself, his driving of it! Going out with his pals, speeding, driving in entirely the wrong places with the car, like waste ground that was unlit at night with chunks of metal sticking up out the ground that proceeded to gouge a whole in the subframe of the car!, which we then had to fork out to get repaired.

Sons and daughters, but mostly sons, can be a complete nightmare until they get older and their brains return to where they should be.

Putting what everyone else said into consideration, I think the worst possible outcome is, you send the payment, and its put on hold by paypal for review. at that point the seller will become paranoid.

you buying a car locally or whats the deal here? the seller will still need legit info so they will probably ask for ID of some sort. If the seller doesn't mind why should you...

just attached a legit bank and withdraw it the traditional way
