| slokor | 06-11-2016 09:47 AM | Re: The Law taking your prepaid cards How would this be a stealthers nightmare?
I dont see too many stealthers getting stopped by the specific officers using this technology while on the trip back home from the trip to the store to get the few prepaid gift cards they needed to open stealth accounts...
No need to blow things out of proportion. |
| miketyson | 06-11-2016 09:56 AM | Re: The Law taking your prepaid cards Traveling. Or trying to use a stack of misc cards for gas or whatever and having your bank cards with you. Guess you didn't read the whole story. One minor traffic stop can lead to it. One thing leads to another. Not blowing nothing up. Prepare for the worse. |
| miketyson | 06-11-2016 10:05 AM | Re: The Law taking your prepaid cards Here's for everybody that don't wanna read. |
Re: The Law taking your prepaid cards Police are civil servants, appointed to protect and serve communities, and are funded by the public (atleast in the UK this stands true).
But as times progress, I have come to notice they are oppressing civilians more and more, especially in the US. The way police treat public citizens in the US disgusts me. I kow I am judging from a few videos online, but even then... |
| slokor | 06-11-2016 10:13 AM | Re: The Law taking your prepaid cards Actually I did read the whole thing.
Again, the chance of being stopped by a police office employing this specific tool while carrying a large number of cards on you is so remote I wouldnt even consider it. When was the last time you had a large number of prepaid cards on you while outside and not on the way back from the store? your average stealthier wouldnt have more than a couple of cards on them and even then only on the way home from the store.
This is troubling on other levels that have nothing to do with stealth though.
That's just how I see it. |
| BigCJ | 06-11-2016 10:18 AM | Re: The Law taking your prepaid cards I thought it was something like they would STOP selling gift cards or something like that.
Most of us get our cards either right from the store or shipped or heck, even digitally.
This isnt an issue. |
Re: The Law taking your prepaid cards I agree, it doesn't seem like an issue now, but its opened a can of worms - eventually it will be an issue. |
| empirestate | 06-11-2016 11:23 AM | Re: The Law taking your prepaid cards The whole system from governments to federal reserve is designed to take money from people.... |
| phaz0rz | 06-11-2016 11:45 AM | Re: The Law taking your prepaid cards This really had me worried until I realized the system only works for prepaid cards (or at least that's what they say).
According to the website, ERAD devices can't be used on a card attached to a valid bank account. I find that a bit hard to believe though. Why? Because all a prepaid card does is stores money in a VBA. |
| glacier922 | 06-11-2016 11:55 AM | Re: The Law taking your prepaid cards Looks like we all have to use our stealth ways to avoid any issues. Just use a chase liquid card, once they try to take any money that's not there, error, rejected. oops. |
Re: The Law taking your prepaid cards ERAD devices - interesting. Maybe stuff down the road to think about but not that worrisome |

Shet, and I live in that state. | And how often do you get stopped and searched for your prepaid cards? Just curious to know how much of an impact this will actually have on you. |
| Dmshark25 | 06-11-2016 08:56 PM | Re: The Law taking your prepaid cards Crazy glad I don't live in Oklahoma. This is probably used on drug stops.
I can't see this new technology being something that becomes widespread, doesn't seem like it's constitutional and probably will be stopped
If You live in Oklahoma don't carry around your bank cards |

You live in the US and enjoy the freedom it provides yet knock it with that statement. A tad hypocritical of you wouldnt you say?
Out of curiosity what heavenly country did you come from and what made you leave the magnificent existence it offered you to and choose the US of all places as your new home? |

Most people I talk too dont even join the military, they just talk shet about it. You think I liked the Navy, hell no!!!
Strange that a Cuban citizen knows more about US History than most Americans born here. I can easily pass the US citizenship test and become a naturalize US citizen but I refuse too. Why you ask????
Easily, just look around you and see why. |
| glacier922 | 06-14-2016 03:38 AM | Re: The Law taking your prepaid cards ahhh, ok, so you are not us citizen. I thought you said you are a us citizen and want to get rid of your citizenship or something like that. Quote:
