Smoking corner for football/soccer lowlifes

LETS GET IT ON!

I want a good, clean trashtalk- No violence and no racist stuff.
No other sports allowed, just football/soccer talk only.

To be accepted into our own little fightclub, please answer the following questions in your first post, so its easier to hate:

1.Team that I support.
2.How long have I've supported them.
3.Team that I love to hate.

There are no rules: Nothing is off the table- lets have a bit of a quality banter and rip eachother a new one.

What happens in this thread, stays here: Our footballing interests should never affect how we think about other things in life- Its clear that once the whistle blows we are all just animals for next 90 minutes.

1.Liverpool FC.

2.Since I was 7 or 8 years old, so about 20 years now.

3. I've always loved to hate Manchester United, for obvious reasons, but for past 10 years or so I've really enoyed hating Chelsea- Probably because of CL drama over the years.

Jesus, so much hate!

I've never heard a good thing about Wednesday- I used to work with a guy from Sweden that supported Blades and he told me its very simple: Wednesday are a shaite.

1. Manchester United
2. Since I could talk, so basically my whole life
3. Rankings: Liverpool, Man Citeh (only since they've become kind of relevant) and Arsenal because a lot of their fans are obsessed

1) Arsenal.
2) I'm proper tarded when it comes to playing footie so I was a late inductee to it all. Since 2004 for me when I moved in with my best mate who supported the gooners.
3) Gotta be Spurs.

Re: Smoking corner for football/soccer lowlifes

1) Manchester United. Though I must admit I'm not a massive football fan anymore.

2) Since I was 4. So over 20 years.

3) Always hated Liverpool with a passion until the last couple of years.

I much prefer playing to watching these days. I'm not sure what it is, but I find it very dull.

What are the chances that United lose tonight? If footballing gods are real, please make it happen.

I enjoy the whole Jose to United drama and how they are already ****ting the bed with most expensive players in the country and we are just 5 games into the season.
Some butthurt hardcore yanited fans must be raging and bashing their keyboards for sure.... Its going to be a looooong season!

Thats what I'm talking about!!!

Oh for shhhure Liverpool will finish higher in the table, thats pretty obvious.

I was surprised that United somehow managed to get a win, as it was looking super grim. Only took them few GK mistakes to score :)

That's just a typical 'blunt' get it? They'll always say that, there our rivals, more hate then the both manchester teams.

Wednesday have always been far superior then the Utd team. Many division champions and fa cup winners. The 'blunts' ermm.... Nada!

Playing effectively with 9 men imo though...Rooney and Rojo were carried yet again :(

Re: Smoking corner for football/soccer lowlifes

Rooney plays so ****ing badly and has done so for past 2 seasons. Makes me think he has a clause in his contract that forces the club to play him certain number of games- Wouldn't be the first time something like this is in players contracts.

Thats THE only valid reason why they keep playing him, as the poor ****er has lost his form quicker than he did his wig-piece.

Thats why I was quite happy that they moved Gerrard out rather quickly. I know that I still miss him and watching him live at Anfield was somewhat of a special thing over the years, but these "hero" type players need to be moved when they show certain signs of old age.
Stevie had that one good season when we almost won the title and after that you could clearly see that he was causing team more problems than usually- He was not a specialist CDM and his legs were not fresh enough anymore to really play the style he played in his prime.
Also what didn't help was the fact that other teams figured out that if they stop Gerrard, they'll stop Liverpool.
Rodgers never really changed the team tactics to counter that- It was not working, but he kept on running against the same wall.

Rooney should have been sold few seasons ago when he had that summer of contract issues. Instead of selling him, they gave him 300k a WEEK wages for next 5 years and after that his form has d-d-d-d-DIPPED.

Fun to watch, sure.

This has been happening the past 4 years with Rooney, starts the season off incredibly slowly. Last season he was shocking but perked up a bit in January for a month or so then died down again.

Rumours were that Sir Alex was planning on selling Rooney if he hadn't retired that Summer...David Moyes comes in and gives him a long term contract on a ridiculous wage. Louis Van Gaal makes him the club captain and all of a sudden he's untouchable. Just shows how very much we're paying for our mediocrity over the past 3 years. I'll always love Wayne Rooney, I think he's been fantastic and in my lifetime one of my favourite players (unfortunately I have absolutely zero recollection pre 99 as I was way too young). I always thought he'd retire with us but he's aged a whole lot over the past couple years so I think it would be best for Manchester United and for his own career for him to leave and enjoy football elsewhere.

We are not even in October and already Jose is making all sorts of headlines.

This will not last the whole season, I can't wait to see Jose have another mental breakdown!
What a fall this guy has had, from one of the brightest minds in football to his current form.

Re: Smoking corner for football/soccer lowlifes

We have a bet than haidukken :)

Jose has always made negative headlines, it's just how he operates. The only problem is people don't seem to be behind him anymore, whereas in the past everyone saw him as some kind of genius so lapped it up.

Re: Smoking corner for football/soccer lowlifes

In all fairness, he has had some wonderful moments in the past- His early years were true, true success. Doesn't get better than that.

Once he started buying titles, people kind of figured him out. He wasn't THAT good at Real and now his football seems to be a little outdated- Might be because other people have figured the system out and the styles of football have changed.

Very similar to The Foxes winning the league last year and probably getting relegated this year- People just figure teams out.

Oh yeah, we have a bet :)
