New Sections
 

I'd like to revamp sections of the forum and I have a whole list of ideas.

New Sections:

• business and tax advice
• expanded wholesale section (for buyers/sellers with rules)
• CryptoCurrency
• Making Money section

We'll expand Amazon, add more international eBay/PayPal sections, and expand on Etsy.

Among a few other ideas.

I'm currently in the process of automating things so once that's complete I'll have time to expand on the forum. :)

CryptoCurrency is so interesting! I know there is a learning curve for most people but Bitcoin is the future... I can see that now. It's especially useful for merchants... we'll make that happen!

I am all in for "expanded wholesale section".
Rest of the catagories will just spam a very fine forum tbh.
Money Making is all crap and only 1 out of 100 methods might be of some help.

The quality of posts will go down.

I doubt it LSD.. we'd have rules and crap would be weeded out.. we could add on more moderators as well. :)

Do you mean like mediating wholesale trade for a fee, similar to how you've done with Ebay accounts?

If so, that'd probably be cool.

From my personal experience, this forum is not like that and members are good.
Any bad posts/threads get taken out fast.

As said, this forum is quality.

Cryptocurrency like BTC section is a must. Please do that ASAP.

What is there to really discuss about BTC though? What it's worth and where it's accepted?

I couldn't care less what you do with your forum AK. I'm just not seeing how that could be all that popular.

My 2 cents:

The forum has too many sections as-is. Half the of sections never get posted in, or when they do, people post in the wrong section, OR the people who can answer the post in question don't read that section.

Less is more.

I think an "Everything else" section where "anything goes" (as long as the rules are followed) would be better, honestly.

IDK, it just seems like people for example, just post in the regular "eBay" mega section, rather than for their niche, because it works better, they get more replies, more information, faster, than if they posted in the niche. Does that make sense?

Oh there will be a purge! There are several sections that will be removed as well, out of date sections. :)

Oh, ok, awesome.

I feel like perhaps a labeling system would be better for some things. Example: Under eBay, just have ONE section: eBay. Well, one for each country (US, UK, etc). Then, let mods TAG specific threads with things such as "eBay Fees" or whatever. It could be in bold and in brackets, ahead of the thread title, like this:

That's just an example.

Obviously, you'd need more mods, but this would definitely help clean up the forum! And I think it would be easier to get replies to some of the more obscure topics that tend to get lost amid all the clutter here.

I spent most of the night putting together new categories for the forum and reorgnaizing things (on paper).

It's going to be great! I'll refine it a little more and start setting it up on the forum. :)

Okay. Some new sections added. Some old (not used) sections removed. A lot of shifting around of topics. I don't want to add a bunch of new sections at the same time (I want to add 2-3 more). I'll keep a watch on things for a couple days and than continue with things.

• Added: CryptoCurrency - eBay Suspension & Paypal Limited Forums
• Removed 3-4 sections.
• And moved a TON of sections to different areas.

Perhaps this is just me, but I like navigating the forums using the menu on the left hand side. I think the two added sections should be featured on that menu (in addition to the landing page), as otherwise it feels like its too many clicks away.
