It would be easier for sellers, and not play email tag with each other (u guys approved of this one?).

And also members 2 members. (m2m chat) Not the chat up on the site, just for 2 peeps.

Just a cute nice little chat box for 2 people chatting it up.

Issue is, vulnerable and desperate members of the forum get scammed. :(

Yeah no it's a cool idea. At times you sit there waiting for someone to reply back and they are gone and not in for countless hours. This be a cool feature!

I think the idea would be great if it wasnt for the scammers that would take full advantage of it

Then it should come with a warning. "This user is not a certified dealer on the site" in red not to send money. Only sellers will have a green verified. But this would be for m2m mainly.

Well, in all honesty, I do not see how this would be any different than the system thats in effect now. You get an email telling you when someone's replied to your PM. You answer when free.

If they are away, then they are away.. An 'instant chat' like M2M process wouldnt change anything.

Its a free forum and sadly, a lot of use have many messages to answer and other things to do.

Could you imagine being a seller and having 30 'popups' of members demanding to get an instant reply? Burned out pretty fast and they would pile up like socks in fraternity.

This will undoubtedly speed up communication, as well as speeding up scams.

Scams give the forum a bad reputation.

There's already a verified merchant system where verified sellers have a green badge. But still, in desperate times, users turn to anyone that can help, and unfortunately even scammers.

Yikes I had no clue there were scams on this site. It's always the same people on here daily. For the last few years.

A few new ones here and there, and then the older ones leaving slowly over the years 1 by 1.

I had no clue they had scammers on here. First I heard of this no joke.

Is that the folks asking to DS for them? Or is it a type of scam I might of not ran into yet.

Yeah maybe bad idea if it will up the scams on here.

We get rid of the scammers pretty fast. The mods are very alert to it, but having M2M chat would make it easier to fall victim to scammers.

Most sellers these days use Skype for 1 on 1 chat if buyers need it :)

It was a great idea to set up an in-forum money system, and each user could get special privileges based on it.
