Screen Shots

What is the best way to produce screenshots as 'thumbnails'? Images are far far too big. Must be a better solution. :noidea:

In the wonderful world of the Macintosh you hold down Shift+Apple+4
Your mouse turns into a cross hair and you select the area to do a screen shot of.
When you let of the mouse button...
POOF you have a screen shot.

:tears: If only MacIntosh ruled the cyberworld!

Windows 7 comes with 'Snipping Tool' ... does the same exact thing

Another neat little feature of the Windows Print Screen Key. Pressing these keys...

Alt + Print Screen

...will take a screenshot of the currently selected window, not the entire screen like the normal screenshot function. For example, if you have Excel open, but not maximized (covering entire screen), using Alt + PrintScreen will focus the capture on the Excel window.

Give it a try GreenBean

Edit: Use Photoshop to resize the screen shot by the pixel ratio to 600 pixel width and then save as a JPG filesize to 97k maximum allowed on the Apskin Forum. Or you can crop the image and then resize. Use the advance features in the forum post and select the paperclip (ATTACTMENTS) and attach the .jpg file size not bigger than 97.7k picture.
Browse to your file and upload it.
It will show up as a thumbnail until you click on it. The image quality is reduced a lot doing this method but it is what GreenBean wanted. (ThumbNails)

I usually click on alt+print screen, then go to paint and paste it in there. Paint comes with all windows operating system. You can re size it later using free applications on the internet.

Paint resizes.. I had to use it earlier today because my PS is acting up.

Paint does not resize but you can use Microsoft picture manager..

I use photo shop elements 7.0...

Yes, Paint does resize. Go to Image> Stretch/Skew and lower the percentages until you find the size you want...
