IP Burger

Ok ok - this is not forum related per se but... come on hear me out...

I would like to make a suggestion for IP Burger.

It is very simple - I would like to see a feature whereby simply clicking on the i.p address automatically copies it to my clipboard please.

Photobucket has a similar feature when copying codes.

That would save us 3 click per ip change.

Maybe that doesn't sound like a lot, but multiply it out. 3 clicks a go x how many times you change ip per day x week x a year!

That's a lot of clicks!

Thanks!

Good suggestion,

But it seems IP Burger needs to be reviewed anyway since alot of people were saying their getting US IPs when in UK?

Perhaps both points should be looked at, IP location and the copy clipboard style.

I would not rely on IP Burger alone - Yes I do use it - but in conjunction with other ones just to be sure.

What other ones Thankful?

IP Location Finder <<< that is real solid i think!! shows you area, ip, and your isp + more been using that for as long as i can rememeber.

And obviously this one aswell What's My IP Address? Networking Tools & More.

Great suggestion.

I hate having to copy and paste it to text and then again in my log.

That's why I use a iPhone + ipmanager it does all that for you. Sometimes I use gmail as well for a log of ip's.

A lot of people saying they're getting US IPs? Since when?

There were some problems 6 months back when I had caching enabled on the site. I have since removed caching and the problem has been resolved.

I'll add a copy to clipboard button.

Oh - just thought: when it is copied and pasted will it still be big and green? It would be fantastic if it was say size 10 and times new roman or arial.

I forgot about having to click (twice!) to "match formatting" too

Added the 'Copy IP to Clipboard' and redesigned the site using nothing but CSS.

IP Information

We're working out some bugs now but it's just about complete.

SUVE 06-12-2012 11:37 AM

Aspkins, your a pretty smart guy. I'm impressed.=}-

FizzyFish 06-12-2012 12:30 PM

Thanks :)

Is it possible to make that confirmation pop-up a little more passive?

At the moment once the "copy" button has been pressed the pop-up has to be closed to be able to do anything else in the browser. :violin:

Thanks again

There's no pleasing you is there? :)

Thank you very much. I just finished inputting past IP's into a spreadsheet, so this will be very helpful going forward.

Well, if you could make it auto populate my spreadsheet I would definitely be pleased :pound:

I am joking of course - this is a great help for my tired finger

Thanks again - It has already saved lots of precious clicks :)
