| easy.bake.oven | 03-24-2016 07:03 AM | NodeBB fourm style layout? Hi.
I am a member of another forum related to a hobby in my life and they use NodeBB Forums.
I am really enjoying that style of forum layout and options it has to offer and was wondering if it might be possible to upgrade this forum to a newer style like that?
Not that there is anything wrong with this fourm, its top, clean and easy to use etc.
I know its a lot to ask, just one of my hair brained ideas! |

The more I customize the forum, the more difficult it will be to retain those features in the future. I wouldn't mind upgrading (it will be a HUGe pain in the ass), but it would have to be worth it. Any features that we gain has to be liked by the community and anything we lose must have an option to be replaced in the future.
Money is not the issue. It's the planning and work involved to make it happen that's the issue. It's big undertaking and once it's done, it's difficult to go back.
It's something I always think about though.. how to make things better.. |

I do use a few other forums but I find this one the easiest to navigate which for me is really important. That is just my personal opinion though! |

I like how it's mobile and social friendly. |

aspkin | 04-12-2016 06:15 PM | Re: NodeBB fourm style layout? well.. it's possible to keep the style we have already.. just upgrade the software the runs in the background and make the forum more mobile friendly.
I'll continue looking into it. |
glacier922 | 04-15-2016 05:04 PM | Re: NodeBB fourm style layout? I'm too used to the layout of the forum here, changing the style would be like moving from Windows 7 to Windows 10, all my fingers are muscle memorized to where to push, it would be such a hassle. |
aspkin | 04-15-2016 05:39 PM | Re: NodeBB fourm style layout? It would be good for mobile users (who are a large percentage of new users) to the forum.
I would keep as close to the same layout as possible, even the same colors and logos, etc.
I'll look more into it and see if it's possible. | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 11:05 PM. | |
