AK - Personally I think it would be a dud of a section. "Flipping" can only be discussed to a certain extent. I think the section would turn into sourcing discussion, with mostly n00bs begging for suppliers.

Just my take, but it's your choice. I doubt it would have too much of an impact either way.

Depends really.. there's website flipping. Involves Seo, marketing, social media, tips, stratergies, can go on and on with website flipping.

Some people buy houses/properties for cheap and the 'flip' them for a tidy profit.

They buy a run down property that needs work doing to it and they fix it up and sell it after a few months.

I feel if one is going to be doing this, it is very handy to have people you know and trust in the building business as so you can fix the property up at a decent price to maximise profits.

I actually did flip a burger today that I made at home! :)

Oh look at all the jokers with their burger, egg and pancake jokes! Are you here all week?

The only thing I actually flip are vintage synths. I have many friends who use the equipment in their studios so I know the brands to go for and I just keep an eye out for old Korg models. I buy low, get them serviced and just sell on without ever touching it myself.
Its an easy thing to do, as I have a good service guy who does all the work and I don't need to spend time talking to him- Just purely business.

I don't have to work a lot- I buy online, get it delivered direct to the service place in London and when I sell it, they ship it right from the service place. I never need to see the piece of equipment, I never need to test it myself and I don't need to store it.

I usually buy it for around £200, spend £120 on full service(parts included, if needed) and sell for around £800-1000.

There are not many out there, so its not viable business to run as such but as a side "hobby" I don't mind, gives me something else to do. Keeps me motivated as well.

House flipping would be something that I could get myself into, as I'd just hire people to do it- I've got couple of friends who do it and it seems to be good fun. They buy houses at around £40k and spend £10-15k on it, sell it for around £70k and look for a next one.

When you have a good work ethic, solid agent and good bank credit you could easily get into "buy to let" market and just work your arse off and reap the benefits in 20 years time, when somebody else has paid for the house you own now.
Thats how most of the UK wants to live, thats why the property prices are so high and everybody "wants to get on the ladder"
Every housewife thinks they can be a developer, earning millions a year. Heh.

Signed the papers for this when I was back in the UK in early March.

Brothers are harnessed as the slaves to do the graft. They enjoy the work.

We will either flip or rent out to students.
