Probably "f ake". F and C are right next to each other on the keyboard after all.

Oh, of course. Thanks parsierngue.

In that case, no. It's not profitable at all. You'll just lose all your money/marbles.

Sure.

Put some real work into selling real items and don’t sell ‘cakes’

Welcome :)

Depends on the cake , how good the cake . Can’t sell only cakes. Mix it up if Gen items , if your clever you might be alright .
stay clear of cakes but of course there is good prof .
Selling only cakes is basically the worst thing you can do to a account and PP.

Yeah, you'll have problems with ants and hungry delivery drivers.

I thought he was talking about actual cakes, lol, because I remember early on when we could purchase baked goods on ebay before the world went crazy. I purchased Halloween frosted cookies mmmmmmm. The good old days. You all may not have been around long enough to remember those good old times.

Coming from a family of gamers I have seen so many Cake sellers selling PS4 and Xbox controllers on ebay and amazon. I bought a few myself and had them refunded and returned but most people can't tell difference between genuine PS4 controller and cake ones until you dissemble them and see the inside structure.

Those sellers have something like 15/20 items sold per day (@£39.99) and most of their buyers give them positive feedback.

Yes its possible to make profit from cakes but it always comes with a risk if buyers check genuinity then file complaint. I personally would never sell cakes to anyone, I don't like the idea of making money from people by deceit.

Re: Is selling Cakes profitable with 30, 50 or 100 accounts

Counterfeit goods is a big fat industry that has a market cap of something like 400+ Billion $. A big percentage of phakes get sold on eBay and Amazon.

It is not just profitable, it is as lucrative as selling drugs. The main issue you will face though is suspensions. It is way too hard to keep an account when you sell cakes on it. There are discussions on how to maneuver Vero takedowns, but such tactics might only work when reporting is done by bots (this is usually the case with very big brands). If you decide to sell phake products of small-medium sized companies, you should expect that reporting will be done by real humans who will spot your listing no matter how you format it.
