yankee does this with RV's and was saying a while ago it's turned into an awesome income stream for him.

If you have the capital you'd probably have more luck renting out RV's to short term renters.

Id rather be the guy making another website that competes with turo and undercuts them.........

because the person that lists their cars up for rent on turo, eventually his business will not always be strong because of how easy it is for anyone to come in and take marketshare away.......you make xx dollars on year but it might not be the same next year........it may be a lot less....

the best route is to make a website because if your website is strong enough.....it can easily last decades on in.....and if other companies see you as a threat they may offer to buy you out and you can retire.........

the website aka the house, will make billions of dollars if expanding out to countries worldwide......

the guy who puts his rental car business on turo........questionable in the long term if people start jumping on the platform..........

Naturally it's more profitable to be the hosting platform than to be a 3rd party service provider advertising on the platform. That's why aspkin makes more off of this forum than any of the service providers here could ever hope to.

If you're good enough to make a site that could potentially outrank Turo (or even show up near them in search results), and you could get all of the necessary licenses and insurance policies, then you'd be wasting your time advertising on Turo instead of developing your own car rental platform.

Just a head up though.. nudy pics and gigolo fantasies aren't going to get you very far in web development. :thumb:

Umm....People rent NEW cars of Turo I have a partner with 732 Turo rentals in the past 15 months. NEW cars rent. Old junk will not. His are all 2017-2018 low miles bought specifically for Turo. 4 units always rented at $40-60 a day. Mostly small suv like cars and economy cars. His total investment is 80k in the 4 and he will make all that back in 2 years and of course make the profit on the flips.
