Experience with make money from home
 

How many methods have you tried and which one would you vote the most suitable for you?

I'll share my experience first.

1. eBay-Did'nt work out as their policies favor buyers and Chinese sellers too much

2. Etsy-A nice source of side hustle income with minimum effort. Tons of traffic .However, their intellectual property infringement policies are too strict

3. Online chat operator-A great source of petty cash which is less than minimum wage. Would only work if I have lots of spare time to kill

4. Affiliate Marketing (Clickbank)-Just started 2 weeks ago and still learning. Hoepfully I will be able to build a passive income from it

5. SEO & online ads agency-I spent months of time learning how to setup and manage Google ads & Facebook ads, but it is not easy to get a client if you have no friends or family to refer you to.

6. Fiverr- I'm currently offering 5 services, got lots of inquiry on the YouTube video ranking gig, the rest are neither bringing in traffic nor income. It is hard to get business if you are starting out fresh with no review

7. Shopify/Storeny-Need to bring in lots of traffic on your own. Sourcing from China is easy but very difficult to find extraordinary items. I made a full time income on my 1st and 2nd year, then the traffic eventually stopped flowing in as more and more Chinese sellers are directly sourcing from the factory

Right now I'm working on building lead generation sites for local small businesses and hopefully this would work out as my long term successful home based business.

Being able to work from the comfort of my own home is my goal and I'm pretty passionate about it. I hope I will find the business mode that best suits me and I'm able to make a decent full time income from it.

if you are in HK,I assume you dont have a mortgage or rent expense/
good luck,try finding a better paying job than stay at home

We do have a rent expense but it is taken care of with our local small business. Why do you think it is easier to find a better paying job than stay at home?

The claim to know SEO and not know how to net clients or make a fortune out of it is a dazzling paradox.

what are your credentials?
Investment bankers who work for US firms make 6 figures each month while their Filipino maid makes a few thousands(Both in HK dolalrs)

A job is different from a business. You do not need any credentials to start a business.

I'm starting from scratch with zero budget and I'm not a web developer. Starting a SEO business requires web developing skills.

What you're referring to is on-page SEO; and no, that does not require web development skills. You don't need to know web development or how to code to learn SEO.
A little HTML at a level suitable for a 10-year-old will do. You can learn that in a day.

SEO however will take months to learn and years to master.

A killer combination would look like this:

Your product(s) + Your own website (WordPress for simplicity) + Your SEO. You'd be unstoppable.

Yes because I already spent all of my budget on Digital Marketing and Social Media marketing courses.

I know about on-site & off-site SEO, building backlinks, using SEM rush, Google analytics, site authority, and all these kind of stuff. I'm just not good with Wordpress.

I have success with his advice "Service+wordpress website+SEO". The service in our industry="travel", took a big hit due to the pandemic".

This is the reason I'm trying to start up a back up side business to supplement our main stream income.

However, I'm not good at researching dropshippers or manufacturers.
