Just curious to see if anyone has been approved to list on Walmart.com as a marketplace seller.

Anyone gone through the process? What's it like?

yes ive been approved but missed deadline to get integrated, its not that easy api like seller central. if very difficult for me. im upset at my self but at the same time. im sol out most my items on amazon so what the hell.lol

I have heard of this, but have never actually done it.

I work from home as customer support for Walmart and those Marketplace vendors are the ABSOLUTE WORST !
When customers call in for refunds or replacements Walmart does not do them and instead we have to give them the Vendors number or email address. many times the number is either disconnected or goes to an answering machine and they remain non responsive so we agents escalate to a marketplace team who intervenes on the customers behalf.
Today was the very first time I saw that a vendor had been banned from listing on Walmart.com out of literally hundreds of customer complaints.

Many of the customers that were lucky enough to get a human on the phone often complain that they are Chinese. In fact I've had a customer tell me hes still waiting for his item to arrive from China, so a lot of them are ordering as they receive orders and dont even house stock. I think I'm going to look into becoming a MPV myself since I've seen this thread and am a bit familiar with them

Do you know anything about walmart affiliate program ? It started not so long ago.

What do you think - does it make sense to launch affiliate API store with Walmart. Will they pay fair ?

Seems like Walmart should be banning a few more sellers if their custom service is that poor and that isn't something I say often!

Yup. I ordered from Marketplace sellers on Wal-mart.com twice. Both times the service was absolute trash. And there's no feedback system in place. They are destroying their online sales with this garbage.

One of our B2B customers sells iPods on Walmart.com. He says the application process was so extensive that he almost gave up.

According to MPP, Walmart just made it easier for sellers to apply and sell there last year. Before 2016 it was invitation only. As their platform lets in more sellers their "buyer protection" will have to adapt, or the site will get a bad rep and traffic will dry up.

i LOVE Walmart..!! the fees are low and the sales get intense at certain times of the year.. HUGE opportunities for Amazon sellers.

Their legal department is a bunch of buffoons. If you’re lucky enough to get on you can get away with just about anything as they do not care about infringement reports or having quality product.

Yes, they're 3rd party sellers are an absolute nightmare and there is no checks or balances for them.


There's no feedback system. If there is, I as a 8 year eBay and Amazon Veteran was unable to locate it. Which means Joe Blow has NO CHANCE of finding it.

I was selling on Walmart.com from about a year (I am located in Canada, and ship from a USA post office). Without warning, all my listings went to 'stage' and I was not selling any more. After a couple of weeks of asking, I was informed that my original application was revetted and my account was suspended permanently. After a couple of months of trying to find out what happened, I was told by Trust and Safety that I needed to update my non-USA business address, and get a Dun & Bradstreet Number. Even though I had provided those items before I was suspended, I supplied them again. A few days later I was told that my account would stay suspended, and I would not be able to appeal.

I can understand being suspended for bad customer service or selling counterfeit items, but to be suspended and not be told why is maddening!

I contacted Geekseller. They do not provide you an account, they only offer inventory services. Geekseller is worthless if you do not already have active accounts on your marketplaces of choice.

I have been selling on Walmart for years and the interface is a complete disaster. If persistent enough you can get your listings to go live.

The support is the WORST.... I mean the WORST... Every answer is the same. No solutions ever.

Yes. We leave on voicemail cause "support" will call you at midnight, one AM, doesn't matter. So yea...

Yes, it is the best interface to get listings to go live, however again additional cost with the low margins.

They look at your performance on other platforms like eBay and Amazon to make their decision as well.

Having a large catalog of items helps.
