Hello All,

Its really great to find a great forum like this to learn of others experiences with other selling platforms. Hence, this is why I have worked hard to bring you a New Auction & Fixed Price platform offering features that you are used to with other marketplaces without the endless 'User agreements'.

The main page is at http://www.ebventa.com

From here you can choose a country of a choice of 34, all with own currency / languages present.

Obviously its early days, but I'm hoping with your help, together we can make the site better overtime.

Finally, its free to register, buy & list with only a small 1% final sale fee when the item has sold. No sale, no fee.

Hello there, thank you for your reply.

Its early days and traffic is needed as you may notice, any help such as spreading the word on Social Media etc would be greatly appreciated.
If people don't know it exists then we're not going to get the traffic.

It says I am suspended as well when I clicked on USA even though I don't have an account.

I'd put the website in developer mode again and work out the kinks and rerelease again

Morning matey, thats fantastic thank you for that, really really appreciate it.

The server plan was upgraded due to increased traffic but for some reason the dns didn't automatically update so all domains then pointed to the old service.

As you have noted all sorted quickly, sorry for the downtime there.

Register and list away mate, really appreciate your help and input :-)

Forgot to add to, will be bringing the following to the site soon:

1) eBay listing importing (for those with listings on eBay to easily import straight into the site).
2) eBay feedback importing (a bonus for those whom have a great amount of feedback on eBay and wish to use on ebVenta).

well its good that the traffic is overloading the servers it shows we are getting traffic wil list more tonight xx as i say i have over 2 thousand customers waiting x

i also have over 600 feedback on ebay so would be great thay you could get that up and runing to import those

Nope never intend to do that, don't believe in endless red tape / huge small print.

All I ask, is simple and pretty obvious, nothing that would upset other users (porn / adult material).

Would never want the site to become the same as the others whom have had great pleasure in ending the seller privileges of those whom rely on it to pay bills / put food on the table without a reasonable excuse other then a vague pointless response.

Register and get listing your items and thank you for your continued support and feedback.

As kindly advised by tucstore (:thumb:) the homepage is at http://www.ebventa.com from here you can go onto your own country's marketplace. For the USA this is http://www.ebventa.us (http://us.ebventa.com).
As its early days we need people like you to register & list items, spread the word and hopefully together within time there will be more user's with regular buyers and sellers without the long winded 'Terms & Conditions' and 'Red Tape' appearing at other sites.

You're a really nice guy. I've seen at least 4 threads during my time here from forum members trying to launch their own e-commerce platforms. This is the only time I've seen another forum member respond with enthusiasm, and actually start listing stuff on the new platform. I hope it works out and you start getting sales.

@OP - How do you plan to market this to the masses and compete with AZ/EB? Advertising "less regulation" will surely attract you some sellers but it will also detract customers who like feeling like they're fully protected while buying online.

this auction site is everything i have been looking for at exactly the right time as well everything does happen for a reason

i have been advertising it to all my ebay customers

Thank you for your reply phaz0rz, it is really appreciated.

Purchasing online always carries a risk as we are all familiar with and is something that we have to try and protect ourselves from as much as possible.
The idea of the "less regulation" is merely in reference to the user's whom have relied on other selling platforms and for no reason whatsoever have been banned / suspended from said platforms for no real reason. Decent honest people whom for one reason or another use these platforms as either there main income or second income (partner at home looking after children for example). They have then had this form of income removed and when asking for the reason why, very rarely receive a proper answer. I have seen many people with near (if not perfect) feedback scores having there selling rights removed (hence this great forum).
People have relied on this to pay there bills, mortgage , rent and / or to put food on there families table.
With regard to safety and as always advised by banks etc, if something seems to good to be true, it probably is.
Always make payments using a service such as PayPal / Credit Cards where you have comeback should the worst happen.
Never use bank transfers / western union, these services are red flags.

Escrow is something that we are looking further into, in the meantime there are Escrow services around the world that we would encourage user's to use if in doubt.

i love it becuase i spend so much time and effort supplying these products to mjs fanclub etc and i have so many followers who purchase my products but the min i make too much money i get chucked off places etc due to competiton being jealous of my artwork and menus on the discs

And tucstore I really appreciate your support from word go and the help you have offered. I can assure you (screenshot this for future reference) that we want people like you to do well & succeed. There is absolutely no chance of you being 'removed' due to high sales.
We also know that 'moles' (other sellers listing similar items to you) can pretend to be buyers to make purchases from you then to leave bad feedback.

Once upon a time, other platforms had people looking into this activity but as you state, they got to big and now do not care with this happening, sending pre-printed / automatic replies regardless of what query or questions you have.

We have actually been looking into many options going into the future, one of these possibles is restricting the amount of sellers on site to prevent this happening as when a category gets over run with more sellers then buyers, the above happens. By having competition, it keeps sellers on there toes but too many can have the opposite effect.

People may say from a business point of view this doesn't make sense, but to have a real platform where profits are not the only thing considered it is definately a option that we may be looking at going into the future.

I really really appreciate your feedback, concerns & points and will gladly address them as a person to a person either via forum / social media or email.

can you make a option for digital download options please so the customer gets the code automaticly on purchase ?
