Craigslist... Any Users "posting multiple ads"
 

I know this forum is for ebay and paypal however hopefully this is allowed, if not feel free to delete.

I have a simple question,

How can I go about posting 1 ad every day or so on Craigslist in every state under services?

I have posted 2 and cant post any more, any resources or tips and tricks you all can share? I know it is tracked by IP however not sure how to go about doing this correctly, my concern is not getting them deleted as that will happen however do it with out getting booted.

I Have tried craigslist a few times. It is good an selling items locally. I have never sold an something on Craigslist that I shipped to someone.

I usually post 5 posting per day each to a different city. Still waiting for my first shipped sale and I have done hundreds of posting in the last year.

I re arrange the text and sentences (also alter the title) to bypass that it is a similar posting.

You can repost the same listings after 7 days

I don't like Craiglist. I get scammers sending me emails, like they have a friend to pick up, but they will send me a check, I will send them a check..etc. Just scammers and killers lately on too. Plus, you have to relist every day if you want anyone to see your ad.. Just not for me.

let me clear this up,

I am offering services through out the united states

I dont ship anything

I list in the services category and have to have an account

each account can only list 2-3 listings a day through out craiglist

how can I post the ad every few days in all 50 states?

I haven't ever listed on Craigslist so this might not work, but why can't you create multiple accounts with them, and use a separate ip for each account?

Not true. In order to list in the services section like the OP wants, you have to have an account.

Each craigslist account will have to be phone number verified

That's an easy thing to do. Get a free trial for a virtual number.

Well i know that Vumber does not work to verify a craigslist account

Dalex, you'll need a craigslist poster (software) that uses proxies. There are a few posters floating around, just do a google search.

Craigslist is getting tough on spammers though, so watch out.

my ads get deleted every day it seems however, do you mean lawsuits?

I am not scamming I am starting a real established company. So, if I post in every city every 2-4 days what can happen to me, I am following laws and the craigslist Terms of Service right?

No, I mean they like to play games with people, like you think your ads are up but they're really not. I think it's called ghosting.

They're getting like eBay.

1. Create your ad
2. Convert it to an image
3. Upload the ad several times to a photo share (imageshack, etc)
4. Each upload will have a unique name/id.

On CL, you are NOT allowed to post duplicate ads. By doing it this way, the bots can't see that the ad is a duplicate.

1. So I make a word document with pictures and convert it to an image? If this is what you mean, how do you convert it?

2. So when I post in CL, do I up load an image and now that becomes the ad? I don't put in any text? Can you give me an example of what one of these ads looks like?

3. There's still the issue of same ip or same email address --yes?

eta -- I use the free aol browser on dif. windows user accts for each my ebay stealth accounts.

Photoshop works good on creating a text file and convert to image, then just put something like great deal on one ad as some text and upload the image. In the next ad put some text like must have and upload the picture from the hosting site, as stated before if using a hosting site each image will have a unique name. watch the titles and try to change them up, maybe spacing out letters or words or leaving out some words that aren't important to a search criteria, that's what most people do on CL is search by city for the product they are looking for. As far a people wanting to meet I specifically put in the post that no meeting in person, money order or credit card payment and shipped via usps, that's it. I have sold about 30 items over the last month using CL and listing the same thing in about 4 different cities with no posting software. Watch your ip address, I try to change iP when listing a new ad as well as using a different email address for each post.

I have some software on my computer that I can use to add text to a picture and save it.
It'll take awhile, but no problem.

Did you pick like 10 cities, if so, which ones work best for you?

How to list on Craigslist in different cities?
 

Hi!

Is it possible to list the same item on craigslist in different cities/states? I tried listing DIFFERENT items within my own city, but since I was using copy and paste for the Shipping info etc. and just changing the description to go with each of the items I kept getting the message where it says something along the lines of "this is similar to a listing you already have posted.....can only list same item in any one category per day...." Problem is that they were all different items, just same TOS. Any help with Craigslist would be much appreciated. I have sold a few Pick Up Only items before on there but I want to give it a go with selling items like I would on ebay. It is worth a shot since it is free to try. Thanks for all who take the time to reply! You are greatly appreciated! :0)

I actually use DreamWeaver or PhotoShop to create the ad, and then just export to PDF. You can use Word, but will need a PDF writer to convert. You may also be able to save the Word doc as a JPEG, but I'm not sure.

All of your text should be in the image (PDF), and you upload to a photo share (Imageshack).

The HTML code provided from ImageShack is the text/code you will paste into CraigsList.

Use the same tracking techniques we all use to hide from eBay. Create dummy email accounts, and have them forwarded to your real email. This way, your real email doesn't get banned.
