This is up to the bank. Mercari can not see the name on the bank account, however when you request a direct deposit it is payed out to a specific name so therefor the bank can reject it. I know for a fact capital one checking accounts work for this. And it’s super easy to make new accounts...

Yes, if they ever try to verify you. Otherwise, it will still work as long as your bank allows mismatched names.

I use android emulator + vpn and I get a "List is not available in your region" or "app not available in your region" when registering. How can I solve it? Thank you

Sales are great there, using the desktop you can relist listings but on the phone app you can't. I lost my first one but have easily made 2 new ones with different phone number, name and bank acct. You can use virtual bank too like bluebird. They will ask for your tax information just like paypal after 15k in sales but are less strict about it.. I just quit selling on the maxed out acct and I'll get my earnings as long as I haven't reached 18k by the 3 days they've given me to submit the info. If you get banned, they will ask for a photo ID and ssn in order to get your money in 180 days. I did that with my first one, obviously can't do it again.

They are now asking for Debit card verification when you use the desktop to list on a new store. SInce you already used your previous info how would you get around that??? Im looking for a solution on that as well

They have started asking debit card yes . Maybe they are figuring out if we are using same device again

Yea they check ip's now . before they did not. you need to use a phone and hotspot or something. thats easy. The credit card part is the tough part I hope someone figures out

Attention Everyone.....
I was having problems with the cards myself.

I purchased 2 VCC's from BJammin at $30 each and worked perfectly.

I can also confirm that VCCs from BJammin work perfectly on Mercari for their card verification request.

Those days of using $5 VCCs to verify Mercari will be missed :tears:

On another note, It's a great platform to sell on. Most of my items sell within 1-3 hours, its certainly kept me busy. Stealth requirements are more or less the same as eBay.

I wish they would support more shipping carriers though, it's a pain when I send an item with something other than UPS/USPS/FedEx and the buyer doesn't leave a rating. I had to message them until a rep with a brain finally manually releases funds.

Your info is great and helpful does that card work to verify account that is active now or you have to create new account with that VCC? because until 3 days ago everything was fine and now asking to add card and I try many vanilla cards as in past they worked fine and on one of account I try putting my own debit card but came back with error 200-006 not sure what that is. And also how much do they charge on card and how does that work? Please help.

Thanks MM78 and BJammin .. Bjammin's card worked perfectly ..

New phone with a plan .. do not connect to your wifi disable wifi connection with your home network. new address << new name<<< I put my address in first then saved it . Then i went to insert the card info and saved and it worked and i've been listing fine ..

They track i.p's now so if your doing it through desktop you better have a good proxy or vpn. Also a new browser maybe even a new login to be safe.

Question , In theory when it comes to mercari deposits dont you think that using the same name would be ok as long as all your other info is different? Like if i use a name that was banned on another account but the bank account is different and all my other info is different it should be good. How can they ban a name ? people with common names would they block all of them ? lol...

Thank MM78, he is the one that reached out to me for help. But I want anyone who PMs me to know the following:
1) I have never created a mercari account (prob never will)
2) Although they have 100% worked so far (4 out of 4), I will not warranty nor guarantee anything. I do not know how many ways a user can screw it up or if it is idiot proof (generally speaking)
3) Please buy 1 first, then if you are satisfied, I can sell you more
4) Good or Bad, share your results on here in regards to Mercari
5) I am a verified seller in account sales and account services, although vcc for mercari is not listed on my services yet. But I will ask the admins to add it after I have enough confirmed people with success

I added his VCC to the same account that had the nonworking VCC, I did not create a new account.

I would definitely recommend everyone make back up accounts with Bjammins cards now. I'm about to buy 10 more cards, not taking any chances.
