Any suggestions on the Tools to edit product images

Basically we need a photo editing software to remove the product image background. Anyone has suggestions?

Fotophire or Pixlr, or other suggestions for fast background remove?

I generally do not use automated tools.

Professional photo editing tools can do a good job. Not hard to learn.
