Can anyone recommend a good host?

I'm planning on setting up my own website to use mainly for promoting adsense and affiliate links, and am looking for a good host. I don't have the extra money to take most special offers, as you usually have to pay for a year or two in advance. Maybe there's one with a free trial including domain? I looked at homestead, but I think you only get 5 webpages with their trial, and that's not enough. Any help is appreciated.
