What do you mean? Quality articles are good for SEO or course depending where they get posted.

Link building is always good.
Of course, make sure they are somehow related to your business.

Many are of the opinion that this is an outdated and spammy SEO technique, still used by some Indian SEO companies. It might even harm more than it helps, be very careful, especially with where you submit. I had this done for a few websites in the past and later was busy with removing them all because it did the opposite of what was anticipated.

1. Get your money site up and ready
2. Get a stand-alone blog and post ALL your articles on it making sure all your long-tail keywords are featured in it. In fact, write your articles based on your long tail keywords. A bit safer if you do not affix your blog to your money site. If you piss off Google, the penalty will be borne by your blog.

3. Get a lot of high-quality back-links from your top competitors on page 1. If you're impatient, you can copy from your competitors using Majestic SEO or preferably Ahrefs.

Rinse and repeat but, if you're scared of carpal tunnel syndrome - consider outsourcing. :d
