Thanks Aspkin!

First I want to say thank you Aspkin!

I built my website just over a month ago...

Well yesterday I got my first 3 sales!!! Yahoooooo..

I wondered why 3 different sales cam in at once..

So I check google and my website is on the first page of google!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats right 1st page near the middle!!! And I'm using competitive keywords as well.....

I rock!!!

Thanks Aspkin for all the help you have given me and others

Yep, no problem. EBay isn't the only way, and I'm glad some people are taking the time and figuring that out. Now all you have to do is multiply what works and your success will follow.

Well I'm just about convinced it can't be done on Google Base. (It would help if they ever fix that annoying glitch that prevents you from listing single items and having to use their damn bulk lister.

Chris Hanson 09-24-2007 05:44 PM

Thats next for me to upload all my items to google base. Does anyone know of any bulk lister for it??

JackNoMore 09-24-2007 06:34 PM

Google base isn't a long term solution. It takes too much time and probably doesn't covert well.

It's better to work on your own website then with something, like eBay, that will only disappear in the long run.

My website host automatically uplists my items to google base for me. I get most of my traffic from google base. I have a hard time with adwords because it is so competitive in my market.

Chris Hanson 09-25-2007 10:30 AM

Uhm yeah, I moved from 1st page to 6th page overnight with the same search words.....Thats weird.. Time to add more fresh content

aspkin 09-25-2007 06:01 PM

Tons of good backlinks with keywords in them and targeted content and you'll see more traffic for sure.

Chris Hanson 09-25-2007 06:15 PM

Does it matter where I backlink it too?? And does the keywords have to be in my meta tags or are the keywords just words that relate to my website?

aspkin 09-25-2007 06:53 PM

Keywords in your links.

For example.

eBay Suspension Forums

The keywords are 'eBay suspension Forums'.

When Google sees that, they use these words to help define my website. And thus I'll rank higher in the search engines for THESE keywords.

You'll want backlinks from high ranking websites. A page rank of 2 or more is good to get started. Five-ten is even better.
