Re: Top ecom platforms, Etsy Ebay, Amz rankings Shopify not on this list? Hmm |
| aspkin | 05-20-2020 02:12 AM | Re: Top ecom platforms, Etsy Ebay, Amz rankings Shopify isn't an eCommerce platform. They just enable eCommerce shops and they're currently the best at doing that. Woocommerce would probably be behind Shopify. |

| Quite right, I am about to set up a facebook shop for my business. The ability to buy stuff while never leaving facebook is amazing.
I have heard they take awhile to approve your shop.
Also, if you are on shopify they have a deal for approved shops to get their products into Marketplace.
Add in instagram checkouts from your shop and this could really transform the entire space.
The businesses that get this right could make enormous sums. |

---------------------------
WMT is very demanding when it comes to third party sellers. | When I was selling on Amazon, I got an email from Walmart offering me a chance to sell there.
I checked it out today.
Their requirements :
- Up and running established biz, with site
- EIN or TIN only no SSN
- W-9 or W-8
- Verified biz address (How they verify IDK)
- UPCs on all products
- Bulk upload via csv or xls no manual
and
Category approvals ( They only have a few open, not all)
Those are harder conditions to meet than AMZ.
Maybe worth a try though, my categories there are open to third party. |

I was able to get approved to sell the products in the shop of my page through FaceBook checkout. The process was relatively easy, but they want to see that you have an advertising account.
No sales yet, but I have advertised anything either.
CedCommerce has a free shopify app that allow you to put your shop inventoery into the marketplace (with easy checkout on FB).
I applied and still waiting on approval.
Going to do some ads on my inventory and see if the ability to checkout on FB makes a difference in conversions. |

| osmanip | 07-13-2020 05:37 PM | Re: Top ecom platforms, Etsy Ebay, Amz rankings We are able to get a lot of brand new macbooks 100 dollars under msrp. and a lot of different brand name product brand new and refurbished. What type of platform would be great for those type of products. I know amazon is strict in that you need to have a letter stating from the company that you are allowed to sell their product |

You can sell Macbooks on Swappa for better prices than eBay, generally. Just need to take some time to prepare good listings and build a reputation as a seller.
Bonanza works well for direct referral traffic as that is 0% seller fees. |
| The_Cynic | 08-11-2020 04:11 AM | Re: Top ecom platforms, Etsy Ebay, Amz rankings An update on this, I finally got my shop items into Marketplace using the ced commerce/shopify free app.
After about a month, 15 or so orders, about the same as Google shopping actions. For my niche that's blah, but it may work for you. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 06:01 PM. | |
