Strange Mercari Issue
 

Several month old Mercari stealth account that has ran like butter. Zero complaints or issues.

Go to list multiple items of the same item (shoes), but they were modified with different titles (the size of the shoes) and the login has begun to fail the next day. It claims my email and/or password is invalid. I go to customer service and get a reply back that the account is in "good" standing. My username is still listed in ads and past sales still listed in the log. Ultimately, I am still unable to login.

My question is do you think this is some sort of server side block from the listing or random block check, or has someone higher up banned the account? I am at a loss. A password reset does not work, nor does different browsers change anything.

I have figured out the issue. Their website is blocking VPNs. This vpn was bought fresh, so I know it is not a marked ip. Now, I wonder if they are logging ip's...

How did you access your Mercari again to check? Different IP?

Of course they check IP.

Consider all companies keep track of IPs.

I recently set up a Mercari stealth account successfully online using a residential proxy from IPBurger. But when I try to log-in to the app on an emulator using a VPN, it doesn't allow me to do so. If anyone finds a work around, please advise!

Why not use a burner smartphone from Tracfone? Just access it through the app and boom your done. New everything!!!

I have been using Mercari for many months and no issues. Today, suddenly my ID/PWD stopped working. I use a VPN but I guess as the author stated above, they must now be blocking VPN access. Does anyone have a workaround other than a smartphone? Thanks
