Hello :)

For people who are familiar with Mercari.
When buyers pay for my items with paypal, they send the money directly to my Paypal?
Or they send it to mercari's Paypal account, and then Mercari will pay me?
If the latter, how long does it take to receive the money from mercari?

As a seller, I don't think you see which method was used for payment. I would assume that the payment to you would be instant once the buyer either accepts the item or 3 days have passed. So no matter what, you get your money from Mercari no matter what method was used to make the payment.

why dont you ask Mercari?
when you sign up,it must disclose .
If buyer pays you direct,you would get a notice from Paypal-You get cash !

the money is held by Mercari for 3 days after delivery if there's no problems they'll release the money to you after that or after a buyer leaves you a feedback.
