Does this make sense? Or confuse you?
 

I'm wanting to create a general forum that encompasses general discussions on other platforms other than the main ones which we have separate areas already established.

It's this area of the forum (where this thread is located).

Currently it's called: "General Platform Discussions"

I'm considering changing it to: "General Discussions"

However I'm thinking if I don't add the keyword Platform people will assume this area is for whatever.. making things a mess.

Does 'General Platform Discussions' make sense to you?

I'm a stickler for naming things, especially if it's something that shouldn't be changed often or at all once established.

Should I continue thinking for a general discussion forum name or does 'General Platform Discussions' seem fine to you?

Goal it to make it:
-General
-Focused on other less discussed platforms (if possible)

Does 'Platforms' make sense to you? When I think of platform I think of eBay, PayPal, Amazon, Etsy, Stripe, Facebook, etc.. big established platforms.

Or am I overthinking it?

Lol I never noticed this section before untill now

I would say maybe create another few section ie Facebook, Mercari, Bonanza, ebid

I just created it today. Well I renamed the previous section “other auction sites” to “general platform discussions”

That's not a bad idea to include those other sections: Facebook, Mercari and Bonanza .. I'll think about it further.
