| Futuremogul888 | 07-06-2021 03:39 AM | Re: Aged corporations He is referring to shell corporations. Ones someone incorporated a while ago and either just let it sit or used for an actual business. Some of these are even able to get credit without a personal guarantor. Beyond credit these have a number of uses, not all above board. |

| slokor | 07-06-2021 09:52 PM | Re: Aged corporations Sounds shady.
Why not just open your own an get a proper LLC and EIN? |
| Malikm | 07-06-2021 10:25 PM | Re: Aged corporations I don’t care what seems shady , we’re on a site where people sale ⊗⊗⊗⊗ PayPal and eBay accounts & if I wanted to do that it would have been, it’s called checking your options and knowing information |

Someone used one of these so called "corporations" . Eventually they get caught and now they are in a pickle. |
| Futuremogul888 | 07-08-2021 12:16 AM | Re: Aged corporations Let me clear the air. Shell corporations are not illegal. Like stealth accounts and crypto, most of the uses are legitimate. However, all of the above mentioned items get bad publicity by those who don't understand them, or who have a certain agenda. We cannot assume the OP has bad intentions. |

I can't see why folk are (deliberately) wrongly suggesting they're troublesome or shady - they're not unless you can explain what a "pickle" they're getting into. |

| yankee | 07-08-2021 12:09 PM | Re: Aged corporations Shelved/aged corps are easy to find and buy 100% legal. The problem is, viryually non have an EIN attached and even if they do, the new owner of the EIN starts with zero credit history.
You can build 250-500K in business credit in less that a year starting from scratch where an aged corp will shave a few months off so for most, not worth the money.
You are actually better off spending the same amount of of money and hiring a quality business credit service and starting off fresh.
Now I am speaking as a general statement. There is always exceptions. |

People who dont know what they are talking about should stay out of conversations unless they are asking questions. |

Now I am speaking as a general statement. There is always exceptions. | This is a very good point. There is a world of difference between a corporation that has never seen any action and a corporation that has seen significant action. As Yankee said there is not much difference an aged corp and a new corp alone. If you can get one with a well used EIN, Dunns number, and several years of profitable tax returns, that is a world of difference.
One will cost you a few hundred to a couple thousand while the other could cost you tens to hundreds of thousands. There is also a huge difference in how easy it is to tranfer the corporation and all attachements. You would likely need a lawyer to transfer one that comes with more than just the corp. Depending on your reasoning for wanting to use an aged corp, you will need to decide which route to go. The other route might just be an expensive waste of time. | | All times are GMT -5.
